Summary
Eugene, Lance, Shorty, and Hookfoot had been missing for weeks after the caravan arrived in Vardaros. Cassandra, Rapunzel, Pascal, and Max manage to rescue them all from the Baron and his daughter, Stalyan. They learn she had forced Eugene to marry her the night they disappeared to keep his friends safe.
They're gone now, but Eugene is acting... different. Cassandra's jokes don't land anymore. He acquiesces to easily when she argues with him, he spends too much time spacing out, or he's been having nightmares. It's easy to guess why. Cassandra doesn't want to.

His mother had loved Adrien deeply, he knew that. He remembered her tight hugs, their long talks, the way he had clung to her like she was the only thing keeping him safe when the rest of the world felt so cold and lonely. For those moments, he had been safe.
But, as difficult as it was to admit, she hadn’t helped him in the ways he had needed. She hadn’t even seemed to realize the bone deep loneliness that he felt everywhere he went and with everything he did. When he excitedly told her about the stories he had been reading, she didn’t realize how his favorite part was that the kids were all friends who loved each other. When he begged to go to school, she never seemed to take him seriously or understand why.

When Adrien expresses clear interest in Chat Noir, she realizes there's only one solution.
When she suggests opening their relationship to let him date Chat Noir, he suggests the same thing for her. And once she notices him pining after Ladybug too, it's an easy solution to let him date her alter ego.

It's been well over a year since the King had been defeated; since Vauguarde had been saved; and since the Saviors themselves decided to continue travelling together. Their last stop before sailing to Ka Bue? Somewhat fittingly, it was the first city that Mirabelle entered on her quest: Jouvente, the birthplace of their resident fighter.Not that you could tell from the way he was acting - sure, he had mentioned plenty of the restaurants he was excited to treat them too, or his favorite landmarks he would take them to, but Isabeau had kept conspicuously quiet about the people from his past. If he didn't want to mention meeting up with any friends or family, well, that's his choice to make. Change knows his new family had kept larger secrets.
But just because Isabeau's more than ready to leave the cities' residents behind doesn't mean that they're finished with him. And some of them are of the opinion that he's long overdue for a family reunion...

You finally spot him running up to you through the crowds of people dancing and laughing. You relax for a brief second until you notice his pale face and his wide, worried eyes. You also note that he’s carrying a bundle in his hands. Upon closer inspection, you realize that it’s Siffrin.
You’re immediately on your feet.
“Isabeau.” You tuck your journal away and your drink tumbles to the ground. You ignore it. “What’s wrong?”
Isabeau slides to a halt before you, panting from sprinting to you. “It’s Siffrin,” he manages to squeeze out. “He won’t wake up.”
