Summary

In 1993, Gilderoy Lockhart points a stolen wand at Harry Potter and Ron Weasley with the intent to Obliviate them. The wand doesn't backfire. Gilderoy's "discovery" of the Chamber of Secrets is a short-term success.
Other consequences are not short-term at all.

I was watching the Chamber of Secrets movie several years back when the scene in question began to play...and immediately I wanted to know what would happen if the wand had done what it was supposed to do. The answer got very complicated, very, *very* quickly.Blame Edgar Allan Poe for the title.

Regulus has his own life, now, a best-friend-slash-flatmate that he would die and kill for and a job at a planetarium that he loves. He's sure that his brother is off living happily somewhere; so there is really no need for their paths to intersect.

Summary
Harry just wants to have a quiet life and get along with everyone. He wants to be normal, and accepted. Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.

There are seven novel-length fics, plus a prologue (to leap and love the fall) and two longer stories (with courage unyielding and the gentle sunlight). The short story collection to journey on contains shorter stories set within the main timeline. All are posted in the correct reading order.

Not wanting to reveal they were from the future Hermione and Harry have to make places for themselves in the past, gaining the trust of the Order before they try to save everyone. Hermione goes into training as a healer and Harry as an Auror.
Hermione ends up meeting James when he's undercover, not knowing who he is they sleep together. Hermione ends up pregnant because of the brewer at the apothecary purposely selling fertility potions as contraceptives. She doesn't want to tell James, afraid that she will be in the way of him and Lily reconciling.
