"You're insane,” Lucifer hoarsely barks. “All of you—crazy psychopaths!"
His wide ruby eyes lock onto Alastor’s, searching for any ounce of humanity—or what he understands it to be—but all Lucifer sees, unfortunately, is the languid expression of a soul content in its degeneracy.
Alastor ruefully smiles. "You could argue we are much like the devil who created us."
Despite his loathing of sinners, Lucifer finds that somehow, Alastor’s torment revitalizes something within him. It’s a bloody distraction as he tries to not only support Charlie’s dream but also host the Heavenly visit of his estranged brothers, Gabriel and Michael.
The King of Hell is assuredly not having a good time.

“There’s nothing wrong with you,” snaps Wilbur. “You’re my brother.”
The room feels too small, too fragile to hold what he’s meant to become. Wilbur must be suffocating. Tommy squeezes his eyes shut.
“How?” he croaks. “How can you look at me how I am now and still fucking think that?”
He feels a hand on his head. Tommy hesitantly peers up. Wilbur is smiling.
"Because,” his brother says quietly, brushing his blond curls away, “you haven’t changed. I loved you then. I love you now.”
Tommy chokes on the cry wanting to escape his throat. Wilbur’s hand pauses on the side of his cheek.
“And, I’ll love you forever.”
It's easier to cling onto the boy they want him to be. Maybe it's time they all learned to let go.

“So does Wilbur,” Tubbo says. He smiles, and the thing is all wrong. Hollow. Tommy suddenly realizes Tubbo does that a lot. “But it’s all gone sideways. And I sometimes just wanna talk about it. Because Prime knows if I try with Ranboo, he’ll only feel bad.”
Fuck him. As if this is about Ranboo at all.

Tommy doesn’t want to know. He doesn’t understand Wilbur: doesn’t understand this self-exclaimed state of intellectual penury he always goes on about. See, Tommy is content, just being by Wilbur’s side. But Wilbur always seems like he rather be anywhere but within reach.

Lucifer is absolutely ecstatic when Charlie offers to include a permanent set of quarters just for him in the blueprints for the brand new Hazbin Hotel. Getting to see his little girl for as many meals a day as he remembers to eat is great! Except sometimes that number of meals is exactly zero, and other times he sees her but doesn’t quite manage to follow the whole conversation, but—it’s all group hangouts full of chatter from her little friends around these parts anyways! He’s sure that it’s hardly noticeable! ...He really hopes that it’s hardly noticeable.
Or: Lucifer has a difficult, very normal day. He tries very hard anyway.
