“They said I lied,” Hongjoong said, remembering the looks on the guards faces, the way one of them had punched him in the gut and threatened to make him regret lying.
“Did you?” omega asked. There was no curiosity in the voice, like he was asking the question just to entertain Hongjoong or be polite, not because he actually cared for the answer.
He grinned. “Well, yeah. Had I told them that I’m a pirate and I actually had robbed the facility moments ago, I’d be heading straight to the gallows.” Getting hanged really wasn’t in his plans that day. “Are you going to tell me what landed you here?”
“They say,” the voice replied, mimicking his tone, “I stabbed someone.”
“Did you?”
“If I did,” the omega said, “he was a nasty alpha and deserved it.”OR: Hongjoong meets Seonghwa in a prison cell. They're supposed to part the moment they've escaped, but life, as it happens, has other plans. Having a deadly omega on his ship might be the worst and best thing that ever happened to him.

Summary

The name was a whisper of a memory—once spoken in laughter, in trust. Now, it was shaped by terror.
"You’ve known me for so long. Don’t give me to him.”
Bound hands strained, reaching for something in San that might still remember who they once were. But San remained motionless, his expression remained impenetrable, a wall of resolve where there should have been empathy.
“Please. I’m sorry. Please.”
The words fell apart, one after the other, like a man unraveling at the feet of someone who used to care.

His hair was slicked back neat and tidy while golden-rimmed eyeglasses were resting on the bridge of his dainty pixie nose. It was an adorable sight, Seonghwa thought, to see someone wearing a sky blue wristband–the club’s color for a sub with minimal experience who was looking for an arrangement–bringing himself in such a dignified way. He had always been a sucker for that kind of gap. That was why he could barely hide his excitement when a good friend of his, Wooyoung, introduced the blond beauty after his two rounds of wine, currently twirling the third.
His name was Kim Hongjoong.

He is stopped in his tracks entirely when he flips it over and sees that the screen is already lit up. His brain takes a moment to catch up to what his eyes are seeing.

Summary
Kim Hongjoong has never considered what life might be like if he gave into his desires. If he just opened his mouth and told his group mate how he actually felt.
So instead he resigns himself to pretend that he's normal, that his heart doesn't long for a person he sees everyday but can't have. He tells himself that it's for the fans, that he stays away from the possibilities because they wouldn't accept it.
But that's far from the truth.
The real reason that Hongjoong stays away from it is because he's terrified of the results. What if the other says no? What if he decides to leave? What if the company labels it as harassment?
Hongjoong doesn't want to risk the careful fragility of Ateez because he has some crush. He can live all pent up, getting off on his own, trying to pretend that he doesn't lust for anyone in his group.
Though lately, Park Seonghwa is making it really fucking difficult to ignore his feelings—and Hongjoong might have to actually say something about it this time.
