But as Daigo flips through the pictures, something catches his eye. One of them features a woman. Though she is not the center of attention of the photograph, she is looking right at the camera and appears to be laughing. Daigo-san’s voice becomes distant, his words barely registering to Mine. He just stares at her as she laughs, happiness dancing in her bright eyes. Seeing her position in the picture, she seems to be seated next to the chairman. When he flips to the next one, he sees her again, though her face is half out of frame, he recognizes her clothes.
“Who is that?” The question comes out before he can even think about it.
“That’s still Kouji-san.”
“No, not her. Her.” Mine clarifies, pointing to the corner of the picture where the woman is half hidden.
“Hm? Oh, I suppose I never told you about her, huh? That’s Emiko, my girlfriend.”

“With how much the clan relies on the Hakuho clan’s donations, my success…” He folds his hands in front of him. “I feel I deserve something in return.”
Daigo can only blink and stare. Now that is something new. Mine never asked for anything in return for all his efforts and his loyalty. He always worked so hard, helped the clan so much, and he never complained about anything. That’s why Daigo was never shy of complimenting him and praising him. That was all he could offer. He would give him a raise, more money, but he knew perfectly well that Mine already had much more cash than Daigo could ever offer. Words were all the Chairman could offer. It didn’t hurt that they came to him very easily too. His mind was always filled with positive thoughts about Mine.
So he gets curious. Really curious. He knows Mine is not going to ask for money, but then, what could he possibly want? “I agree. Alright, let’s hear it.” He accepts, leaning back in his chair. “What reward would you like?”
Mine looks to the side, for the briefest of moments. His bashfulness only feeds Daigo’s excitement. “If my numbers do follow my projection curve, as a reward, I would like… you.”

After working all night, Daigo finds a strange voicemail left on his phone by none other than his right-hand man Mine Yoshitaka.

“Hey, Sixth Chairman…”
Daigo immediately recognizes that Mine is drunk. In spite of the way the sound is modified by the low quality of a phone speaker, he clearly hears how deep his voice is. How he slightly slurs on his words. And also, the fact that he’s greeting him so informally. Mine’s always been so proper with him. Always in perfect control. Even when they went out for drinks, he was never more than a little tipsy, and still, he managed to hide it pretty well. He’s never heard him so loose. He’s left frozen, hanging on every word Mine is muttering on the other side of the line.
“I’m out, with my men, but I-... I should have stayed with you tonight. I… I want to see you."

Especially not after seeing him asleep in this bed, with an air of such softness to him. But it’s an ugly thought. Something that would be enough to freak a man out, even if they are sworn brothers. Everyone deserves privacy. But he doesn’t hear any protest. Only a low hum, not quite approving, but maybe conceding.

After Daigo gets propositionned at a bar right before Mine's eyes, a strange feeling grows inside of him. It can't just be jalousy. He can get all the women he wants. But he never wanted any. No, he realizes that what he wants is to follow his chairman during his date to assure his safety. And if he has to see him in a compromising position to make really sure there is no threat to his life at all, it doesn't bother him. Actually... he likes the idea. But it's not strange, wanting to see your boss having sex, is it?

Summary
From their first arrival in Mondstat, the Traveler was intrigued by the exact nature of the relationship between the cavalry captain of the knights of Favonius and Master Diluc. There seemed to be a lot of history between them, but their lips were closed tight when asked.
It didn't stop the Traveler from being fascinated by their dynamic, and thankfully, they had an adorable companion who was not afraid to speak her mind and get to the bottom of every mystery in Teyvat, including their friend's past and present relations.

“Here’s Noah with one of the stray cats he picked up. Believe it or not, we had a whole zoo back on his island. And here’s Masaru — that was one of my crew members — tryin’ out karaoke. Highkey sucked at it. This one’s me with the bartender of the karaoke bar. Pretty funny dude. And here’s Jason with a terrible sunburn—”
“Wait, hold on,” Daigo interjected, his mouth suddenly feeling dry, “go back to the previous photo.”
That karaoke bartender had looked familiar, and not in a good way.

Summary
The tattoo didn’t hurt, but he flinched anyway when Daigo laid his fingers over the center of his spine. There, he traced a line of red fire down along the Kirin in flight. “It suits you very well. Kirins are said to follow powerful rulers, right? Though… our irezumi are more metaphorical ideals than hard truths. I could stand to be a stronger ruler, and you a better follower.”
After failing to follow his Chairman's commands, Mine takes a tense visit to an onsen to celebrate his finished tattoo. Of course, what hangs in the air is the expectation of punishment--not appraisal. After so long testing his limits to see who would push back, Daigo takes Mine by the reins.

Summary
To Daigo, Yoshitaka Mine should have been any other person to care for amongst the sea of thousands of Tojo Clan members. That expectation wouldn’t have diminished his importance, yet with so many lives to care for and look after, it wouldn't be hard to imagine keeping tabs on each individual person would be arduous, even for a man who cared so deeply as Daigo honestly did.
Yet in but a few short months, Mine had proved himself more than worthy of just being another member in the Tojo Clan: of course, every member had sworn their allegiance to Daigo when they initially joined, yet it was Mine who seemed to earnestly honor that sentimentality. Everything he did and everything he said screamed devotion, sometimes to a frightening extent.
Truly, that’s where the seed of Daigo’s affections began. Ensuring the chairman’s safety and the Tojo Clan's success was the bare minimum, yet how meticulous Mine had been about it all had felt more personal than out of obligation. In that, it was impossible for Daigo to ignore Mine’s care- nor could he ignore how the thought of it made his chest feel light.

Daigo knew Yoshitaka Mine for a plethora of things, his punctuality and efficiency being just a few. Yet apparently even he seemed to struggle having one-on-one meetings with his chairman- when the goals of such 'meetings' were in pursuits of debauchery, anyhow.

Summary
One's an incident and two's a coincidence- but Daigo wasn't too much of a fan of having to coincidentally running into Mine the first time, and he certainly wasn't happy to see him again the second.
What's more, they were seemingly doomed to only ever run into each other on overcrowded subway rides, barely given enough wiggle room to breathe this time. Though perhaps this recent meeting wouldn't go as sourly as they imagined.
