Luce wasn’t nouveau riche, but he wasn't quite a trust fund baby, either. Not exactly. How could that be true when an inheritance comes to you by default, merely because your parents kept the same company as you—none? How could that be true when you absconded the family business, the family name, going on some ten years ago? GalBank would either pass on the proverbial credstiks to the next of kin or set them ablaze at the Colony War memorial. Probably would’ve done the latter, if he had encouraged it.
With his new endowment, Luce purchases a remote, luxury home on the planet of Nesoi. He intends to rot away there, freed from a life of labor in the Settled Systems—but Artifact Zeta has other plans for him.

Summary
This is the story we should have been given. It picks up from the beginning of Act 2 and Follows V and Goro as they struggle to save themselves from the machinations of Arasaka. Misty, Vik, Johnny and others will play important roles across the story, and have been expanded upon as such. This fic will follow the main storyline of the game to a point, but will slowly diverge from it bit by bit. Gradually, a new story will emerge. A story of found family, love, and the ghosts of who we are. I have rejected every cannon ending of Cyberpunk 2077 in favor of my own. I hope you choose my ending too, when we eventually get there anyway.

He falls silent and Jack says nothing, looking around, taking in the view. They are in the middle of a meadow, high on a hill. Beehives stand a ways off, covered in the humming creatures flying in and out. Lilac bushes sway in the wind, fragrance and loose petals drifting in the air.
“Where are we Cas?” Jack asks after a moment, as the grass bends in the breeze and a bird chirps, song filling the silence.
“Neither here nor there.” Castiel replies, catching a petal from the air. He crushes it between his thumb and forefinger, oil glistening on his skin.
