“Who are you?” Chase asked the man sitting in House’s chair spinning a Rubik’s cube.
Cameron shares a look with Chase, before turning back to the man. “And why are you in House’s chair?”
“The patient is stable, and started on cyclophosphamide. We still don’t know the cause of her seizures, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.” Foreman said, walking in with the chart. “So, we need to act fast.”
“I thought you guys were super smart elite team.” The man said, not looking up. “So much for the old man’s dream team.”
Foreman looked up, frowning. “Who is he? And why is he here?”
“I can’t be bored?” The man said, shrugging. He put down the Rubik’s cube. Chase noticed it was complete. “Where’s the old man? He told me noon and it’s already half past.”
“He is notorious for being late.” Chase said dryly. “Are you a patient?”
“I would rather sell my soul.” The man said.
“Be careful what you wish for.”

Summary
John's litany of cures didn't work, and Dean is still cursed to live life while shrunk to a few inches tall. Worse, their dad seems to have left Dean's case on the backburner for the sake of hunting some random werewolf. Once Sam is dragged into the hunt, Dean knows he has to find a way to keep his brother safe, even if the curse makes that almost impossible. Besides, his next idea for a cure is definitely going to work. What's one little hunt in the meantime?

Sam's always considered himself the more level headed out of the three of them, but when John gets mentioned—when his brother turns up for the first time in three years, bleeding and on the verge of tears, Sam sees red. Still, with Dean regressed and only just managing not to bolt, he has to keep his cool.
He licks his lips, "He did this to you?"
Dean ducks his head, his focus on Snaggles now instead of Sam. "I was bad."

When Dean was 14, he argued irreparably with John. Now he’s 26 and a firefighter when he runs into a 6’4” guy in an abandoned house and recognizes that he’s a hunter and thinks that maybe he knows him. But Sam is nothing like he remembers.
I get off at midnight,” Dean said. “I can help you with the salt and burn.
“I don’t work with a partner,” the hunter said.
Dean swallowed. “Sammy?” he said.
Fuck no. The guy wasn’t Sammy. For years, Dean had seen Sammy everywhere and this was just that. What was the likelihood that he would run into a hunter and it would be his little brother? God, what was the likelihood his brother was still alive? The thought he never ever let himself have.
