Summary
Supper secured and stuffed away in his trousers, he looks up to find the silver-haired stranger in the corner, the one person who hadn’t heckled him. The man is objectively gorgeous, with fascinating hair and a body that makes Jaskier’s mouth water a little.
Oh yes, he decides quickly, he will be climbing this stranger like a tree.
He’s a little wrong-footed when he works out that the stranger is a witcher with big scary swords Jaskier’s heard horror stories about, but after a quick moment of thought, he also thinks about how very many things the fae elders have been wrong about all his life and decides to ignore them once again. The witcher–Geralt of supposedly Rivia, even though Jaskier can tell from his accent that that’s a lie–tries to get rid of him, but Jaskier is nothing if he’s not determined, and he’s simply too damn interested to get scared off easily.
The witcher has clearly not realized that Jaskier is something to be hunted, and Jaskier, well, he’s never excelled at silly things like self-preservation.

Geralt was always gathering weeds. Some Jaskier immediately identified as poisonous: white thornapple, for example, its distinctive trumpet-shaped flowers spiraling open into delicate starbursts, the leaves of which he looked at with wariness after an ill-advised experiment during his not-so-distant wayward youth. Belladonna, too, he recognized, its soft purple-yellow flowers demurely downturned, deceptively plump black berries temptingly revealed where the plant’s pale green sepals parted. White baneberries, in contrast, looked about as toxic as they were, each protruding artery-red stem topped with a single eerily white berry which bore a dark little pupil staring wildly into nothing. Geralt collected delicately curving purple flowers and shining, tender clusters of red berries and craggy roots or creamy pale rhizomes so newly unearthed that damp clumps of dirt still clung to their protruding tendrils.

Jaskier is caught in a very familiar position when the mage curses him: in bed with a woman, his dark hair mussed and messy, his cheeks flushed deep red. The woman sits across from him in a similar state of disrepair, blinking dully up at her husband.
Or: Jaskier is cursed, shrunken to the size of a doll. Geralt protects the small bard as they track down the mage who did it. Jaskier does not make this easy (some of which is his fault; most of which is not).
