Mione pulls her wand and runs another diagnostic, and this time, I read with horror the list of internal injuries Harry’s currently suffering. Nothing that will kill him. Bruised lungs. Bruised spleen. Broken bones. He’s all but depleted his magical core. Nothing we haven’t taken care of ourselves in the past. But it’s certainly not doing him any good. He barely flinches in his unconscious state as she heals his two busted ribs and reaches into her bag for the remainder of our dittany.
The potion has zero effect.
“It’s probably from the Avada,” she says, and the way she says it…I rip my gaze from him to her. “It probably needs to heal naturally.”
She shrugs like it makes all the sense in the world.
Maybe it does. What was it that Dumbledore always said? Dark magic leaves a mark. That’s why Harry has his scar, right?Does this mean he’s going to have another? Harry…died. He died, and the proof is right there on his chest.

Summary
Losing Damian not only hurt beyond measure but also made Dick the last Bat standing. He had nothing keeping him in a broken world so goes back in time with only one ally (Damian begs to differ) and no plan except to protect everyone he can, at any cost.
Dick starts with making sure Jason never dies at the hands of the Joker and proceeds to track down and love his siblings (while maybe also plotting the destruction of the League of Assassins). He just doesn't realize that a clan of highly trained vigilantes are more than capable of realizing that Dick is not okay, and of returning his devotion with their own.

Under the last king’s reign, one might have thought twice about approaching the palace if they hadn’t been invited, would surely been turned away without an iota of compassion shown, but the woman didn’t hesitate and the guard who stepped out of the guardhouse to meet her did so with a welcoming smile despite the frigid air.
“Can I help you, miss?” His careful eyes didn’t miss her tattered cloak or the drenched shoes she wore and he added, “Did you need somewhere to warm up? You can come inside and we’ll arrange somewhere for you to stay tonight.”
The woman shuddered a little at the idea of warming up and clutched the two bundles to her body a little tighter, noting with a rush of relief how they both squirmed a little in her grasp.
