Tommy opened his eyes slowly. There was sun streaming through the window, leaving the ceiling bathed in golden light. The sheets under him were soft and plush, cradling his body comfortably. The one window in the room was slightly open, allowing Tommy to hear birds chirping outside as well as the quiet breeze blowing through the overgrown trees surrounding what Tommy could now tell was his childhood bedroom at his family cottage.
Fuck. His. Life.
He was back again.

Summary
Headmaster Philza cleared his throat. “Tell me, Tommy, What do you see in the Mirror of Erised?”
Tommy glanced up to meet Philza’s eyes in the mirror (his eyes were something Tommy had never looked into, but the mirror gave him a semi-comfortable barrier to do so). Philza, though, deftly avoided Tommy’s gaze, continuing to look at himself in the mirror instead.
Tommy finally gave up his silence, wanting to get whatever Philza came here for over with.
“Why don’t you tell me first, and I’ll consider saying mine,” Tommy said with a biting tone, but it was quiet, more subdued than he usually was.

His wings were bright white, just like the angels in stories Wilbur had heard of. White wings were super duper rare, and Wilbur was sometimes praised just for having a few white feathers mixed into his light brown ones. But this baby? He had entirely white wings, something unheard of.
This baby and Wilbur must have been destined to meet with them sharing white feathers! He had to be Wilbur’s angel, his baby, his– his baby brother!
Oh, it all made sense! This was Wilbur’s special present! A present unlike anything else he had ever gotten! He looked just like his Daddy and had white wings like Wilbur because he was a baby brother for Wilbur! His Daddy had gotten Wilbur a brother!

Summary
“Theseus, you had to know we would do anything for you. This is for your own good,” Phil said with a dark gleam in his eyes, inching closer to Tommy.
Tommy had nowhere to run, he didn’t even have the strength to move.
“I trusted you,” He slurred out, dragging a breath in. Phil cooed, a clawed finger reaching for Tommy even as he tried to flinch away. Phil instantly grabbed Tommy’s chin in his hand, forcing Tommy to look him in the eyes. Tommy could see his determination. Phil truly believed he was doing what was best and Wilbur and Techno were doing nothing to stop him, just standing back and letting it all happen.
“I know baby. It will all be okay, you’ll see, I promise. We’re a family after all.”

Tommy lives as an orphan with his best friend Purpled, stuck in the never ending poverty cycle of the Antarctic Empire. This, he thought, was his life forever. He didn't expect to be embroiled in the darkest parts of the kingdom, his fate in the hands of people who didn't even see him as an equal. He wasn't going to just roll over though and accept the hand he was dealt, not now, not ever.

There are certain things that Dick and Bruce don’t talk about. Things like how Dick has always been able to understand what Bruce means when he grunts, or how he sometimes uses moves that Bruce hasn’t taught him yet, or how Bruce has red-yellow-green things everywhere and had installed a gymnastics room before even meeting Dick. It’s not like they can do anything about it, all the bits of knowing and feeling that appear like muscle memory and slip away like dreams. It’s just… how things are for them. It’s normal for the Manor to feel empty and quiet and lonely, filled with a pervasive sense of something missing. Dick sometimes finds himself wandering around, as if he could just find the right room then he could stick his head in and find—someone. Someones, plural.
(Or, the Bats don’t quite remember each other. They know no names, no faces, no details. But they remember enough, and once they find each other, it’ll take the world ending again before they let go.)
