The ship tilts in the storm, sending Legend's feet skidding toward the railing without something to hold on to. Hyrule slips. A wave comes crashing over the side of the boat with bruising force. Their eyes meet. Hyrule's going to go over the side. Hyrule can't swim.
Legend leaps. Hyrule braces. They both get swept violently over the railing.

Link looks at the bundle of dirty linen on Ravio’s lap and realises it is not a bundle of dirty lined, but the emaciated body of a kid. The poor thing is so skinny he almost disappears into his own clothes. Link cringes as seeing the gaunt face poking out the ragged travel coat.
“Great, now dark magic portals are throwing dead corpses in our yard.” He comments sombrely.
“Uuuuh, Mister Hero? I don’t think it’s a dead corpse…”

Hyrule’s scratch (it wasn’t a scratch, but he couldn’t keep thinking about it. If it was just a scratch then they didn’t need to know about it. Time wasn’t keeping track of every single nick the Links got, that was just absurd, right? So it was a scratch. And he was fine.) (He was not fine.) burned and pulsed in his boot. He readjusted his legs, kicking them out from under the blankets, and winced. That hadn’t helped at all.
"I do- I. I worry,” Legend said.
The two sat in silence for a few minutes more, watching the rest of the chain mill about the camp. Legend pushed himself up, pulling himself away from Hyrule to look him in the eyes. He momentarily missed the physical contact, before quickly squashing that feeling.
“I mean really, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Or, Hyrule has black blood. The chain doesn’t know this. This leads to some unfortunate events when Four catches him cleaning a wound in the middle of the night.

It took him what felt like a decade to collect himself. He was a Hero of Courage, and strangely enough he was still here, in this plane of existence. He had enough experience dealing with spirits to know that if he had died and turned into a ghost, it meant that he hadn't moved on. It meant he still had things to do.
With that new resolve invigorating him, he decided to open his eyes once more and analyze the situation. It couldn't be that bad, right?
OK, no. It was bad, it was so bad.
OR: Wind dies, but not really, at least not entirely. He's still around as a ghost, after all. Fortunately for him, Wolfie finds him. Unfortunately for Wolfie, he finds Wind.

They both knew what treason meant. It meant being killed.

The look on Ghirahim’s face was nothing short of ghastly.
“We’ll make you wish you could.”
Or; Dark is kept in a small, empty room for hours at a time as punishment whenever he fails to kill the heroes. It does more damage than he realises, and, when a foiled escape plan somehow leads to Dark ending up among the chain... Maybe he can start to heal.

My take on the Chain's first meeting You know how most first meetings have them go from era to era picking them up Well if you reread the start it's highly implied what happened is that 8 of them came through a portal and ended up in Time's era Where he had to go find and round up
