“I hear there was an incident yesterday?”
Incident is such a versatile word. Tim looks away from the man to look around the office instead. He likes it here. It’s colourful, with pictures on the wall and books stuffed in the shelves and a box of toys the man offered Tim exactly once before he realised that Tim doesn’t know what to do with them.
Sometimes they draw though and he can see the crayons tucked away in the box too.
“I was sick of the white,” Tim says as if it’s an explanation.
“I see,” the man says, also as if it’s an explanation.

“Mate, please tell me you did not just kidnap a random child.”
Technoblade shook his head, looking at the young blonde in his arms. “I don’t know why you would say such a thing.” Tommy whined in his hold, unhappy to be left out of the conversation. “This is my dad,” he stage-whispered in piglin to the younger hybrid. “He’s asking if I kidnapped you.”
Tommy shook his head aggressively, glaring at Phil with as much distaste as a child of his size could conjure. The piglin hybrid looked at his pseudo father with a shit eating grin. “Tommy is fine with it, so does it really count as kidnapping?” Phil leveled him with a deadpan stare, shaking his head in both confusion and amusement.
“It’s too early for this shit.”
____Or Techno finds a small piglin child and subsequently adopts him

“Alright, fine.” Technoblade shoved his hands into his suit pockets. “They don’t care. Now, here’s what can happen next. I do believe you are Theseus. So you can come with me, and we can actually put your theory to the test.”
“It’s not a theory. It’s just the truth, okay?” Tommy was horrified to feel tears burn up in his eyes. “I know I’m right about this.”
“Why do you even want to go back, then?” Technoblade asked, “I’m sure Sam won’t mind letting you stay here until for whatever reason the royal family comes over.”
The lump in Tommy’s throat was expanding, and he forcefully swallowed it down.
“I… I want to see them,” he admitted.
“There are photos, newsfeeds—”
“It’s not the same!” Tommy stared at his nicely polished shoes, shame burning at his cheeks for his outburst. “It’s not the same,” he said again, more quietly.
Prince Theseus was kidnapped from his home at age nine. Now, at fourteen years old, he reunites with his family, even though he believes they hate him.

Summary
Techno stood by the fireplace, waiting for the water in the kettle to boil. He hadn't expected his week to turn out like this.
He hadn't planned to find a half-alive Tommy in the snow and blood and spend all his time trying to bring him back to normal and then calm him down. But he did, and now he's really want to know what happened to him in exile and why he hasn't heard a word from him in days.Or a cry of the soul, in which Techno realizes much faster that something really bad has happened in exile and that it is not necessary to leave it to "when he wants to tell me he would".
