At first it’s hard to say what plagues Hiromi the most: the tickle of the plaster dust in his nose and throat or the blaring klaxon of the system alarm which threatens to explode his eardrums; but as the room—his office—blurs and comes back into focus again, he reaches a conclusion:
At least he can turn the damn alarm off. That’s one point in its favor.
“Deafen alarm!” Hiromi shouts.
Another bit of plaster falls from the ceiling and Hiromi coughs from the ensuing cloud of dust. He rolls onto his side, putting himself into the Recovery Position in accordance with the Foundation Emergency Handbook: Section 2, Paragraph 4(a), and begins to Assess.
[OR: Higuruma Hiromi is the Site Director of Nihon Containment and Preservation Site 7. Unfortunately for him, it's about to be a very, very bad day.]

Summary
Harry Dresden was adopted years early but not by Justin Demore. Instead he was adopted and trained by Kincaid the Hell Hound. With a different upbringing Harry is stronger for it. He sees even more of the grey areas and has few ties to the White Council.
At 16 he and Kincaid are contracted to kill Justin DeMore. Using explosives the take out DeMore and unfortunately his enthralled apprentice. Harry learns about the potential consequences and collateral damage of their work. The upside to their actions was saving potentially disastrous results of having a former Warden as a Warlock and collecting the Spirit of Air and Intellect. Reluctantly Harry is allowed to keep and name the spirit.
At 22 Harry breaks out on his own as a mercenary. He travels as much as he can but something keeps calling him back to Chicago. In a way it was a home he never really had with his and Kincaid's lifestyle. As he makes a name for himself Harry draws the attention of those who are curious about things left alone.

“The Republic would use them for leverage. It could escalate to war– things have been way too tense for way too long.” Obi-Wan argued.
“Going to Mandalorian Space is suicide.”
“I would rather risk my life than see children used as political pawns or worse, as leverage in war.”
“They are the enemy, Obes. If they get their hands on you they would not be so gracious.”
“There are no enemy children in war. Just children.”
Quinlan knew there was no convincing Obi-Wan at this point. “Fine. But don’t come crying to me when things go wrong.”
They both knew Quinlan would be the first to aid Obi-Wan should things go wrong.

The Creche Masters were often considered the last line of defence against external threats. Today marked the first time in centuries that their hand was forced. Alarms echoed through the eerily empty halls. In the distance, the sound of battle could be heard but it had not yet reached the heart of the Temple quite yet.
The fight ahead would not be pretty. It would not be long before it arrived.
The tall ornate doors leading to the most inner sanctum of the Coruscant Temple had been shut and locked. Behind it, the Jedi Younglings were being readied for evacuation.
In front of the door stood a lone figure.
This was hardly the first time Creche Master Obi-Wan Kenobi acted as a sentry, though this position might just be his most crucial one. His huddle of Younglings were behind the doors at his back, and he would die before letting anyone through those doors.
He stood still, unmoving and unafraid. Taking a deep breath, Obi-Wan took his saber and held it. He knew what he had to do, and he would stop at nothing to do it.
These Mandalorians would pay for breaking into the Temple with their lives.
