Summary
“Hm yeah, that image I saw was probably edited,” Tome stated nonchalantly.
Takenaka shrugs. “Figures. Well, let’s head back-”
“We should go check the building out!”
“…I don’t think breaking and entering is a good idea.”
Tome shrugs. “Well, we’ve already broken in thanks to your little trick. So, you comin’?”
or
Tome drags Takenaka on an alien hunting trip, unaware that their late night trip into the woods will escalate into so much more. Not necessarily in a good way.

Summary
Ren has never been so relieved to see a disgruntled expression in his life. His features are all the same as Ren remembers, nothing monstrous or out of place, just pure Akechi Goro—part annoyed and part irate.
Akechi’s eyes widen. They glow almost red in the sunlight. For a second, he looks genuinely, unobstructedly surprised.
“Amamiya,” Akechi says, and his voice is the best thing Ren has heard in months. “What are you doing here?”
*
One year after the collapse of Maruki’s reality, Ren starts meeting a dead boy in his dreams.

Summary
“But I think you could use a little help distracting yourself,” Goro says against Akira’s skin.
“Yeah?” A tired smile quirks the corner of Akira’s mouth. “Do you have something in mind?” He tips his head, intending to catch Goro’s lips again, but Goro suddenly rises, leaving Akira’s entire front cold. He watches his boyfriend wander over to a stack of boxes with various cleaning tools laid out on top and he almost laughs. “Alright, I get it.” He starts to stand. “Let’s finish—”
“Sit.”
Akira’s body obeys automatically, dropping back down on the mattress before his brain can catch up.
Goro doesn’t even look back at him, wholly absorbed in contemplating the cleaning implements. “I must say—” he drawls, reaching out to select something, “—this place looks a lot different than it did the last time I was here.” He turns, revealing the feather duster cradled delicately in one hand. “Master.”

“You’re still waiting.”
When Goro raises an eyebrow at that, Akira continues, “For things to go back to normal. For whatever you thought would happen in February to finally happen. You’re still waiting to die—aren't you?"
Goro bristles. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
"I think I might be, too."

Summary
“I didn’t expect you’d come here to see me,” Shido, or whatever ghost is left of him, hoarsely says.
Hearing his voice again leaves a bitter taste in Goro’s mouth. It’s not quite anger, but it’s just as unpleasant. His response rises from his stomach like bile and spills out, “Trust me, I won’t make a habit of it. And don’t bother asking for forgiveness or any other ridiculous notion like that. I have questions and you have answers, that’s all there is to it.”

Summary
The glass of the Rage Vial was thin and delicate, like sugar glass: if Akechi wasn’t careful and applied a bit too much pressure, it could very well shatter all over his hand. This was purposeful, as it was easier to throw a potion on an enemy than force the concoction down their throat. If Joker refused to comply, he might have to do just that.
Joker came closer, as if to confirm what he was seeing. His eyes flitted up to Akechi’s beneath his mask, not even needing to vocalize his ‘why?’
“It’s like you said,” Akechi explained, “we don’t want to leave anything unresolved, do we?”
In a final ditch attempt to prolong the inevitable, Ren challenges Akechi to a rematch on his last night alive. Unfortunately for him, Akechi has a surprise planned to level the playing field and set the score straight, once and for all.
