Meanwhile, Bowser was receiving messages from a rather dorky fella somewhere from the Mushroom Kingdom, the only person in the entire world equally as desperate as him. Throwing cautions to the wind, they formed a blind relationship with each other, unaware of the lunacies that would soon come their way.

When one of Kamek's magic spells goes awry and transforms Bowser into a man, the king demands help from Luigi in learning how to function as a human with no special powers whatsoever, instead of a fire-breathing Koopa. With Peach's reluctant agreement, Bowser hides out in the Mushroom Kingdom under the guise of "Luigi's friend from Brooklyn" until Kamek can reverse the spell.
Unfortunately for Luigi, Bowser is still big, strong, and terrifying even as a human. Even more unfortunately for Luigi, he is also extremely sexy.

Author is slow to update but that’s ok. Self note: reread after next update, it’s been awhile since I’ve read older chapters and I forgot some of the plot.
Bowser accidentally turned into a human! The once mighty creature is now vulnerable, and needs to be careful who he informs. He reaches out to Luigi for help.
Unique (and hella good) Luigi characterization where Luigi is a bob-omb whisperer. While Bowser has his problems, Luigi is insisting the Bob-ombs with politics
Fun fact! This fic is what got me into Bowser calling Luigi “princess”

And just when he thought it couldn’t get worse, someone was sending assassins out to kill him! Why did the universe hate him so much?!
It’s only after a few escape attempts, weapon showcases, assassination missions, home invasions, bouts of violence, mixed signals, and some not completely unwelcome sexual tension that he begins to realize… being a villain may have its perks after all.
