It didn’t take much. Light was shaking his head before he could change his face and school his expression. Before he could feel anything.
“No,” Light responded, the word seemingly passing right through L. “You’re who I could’ve been with.”

L is dead; Light Yagami has won. But the loneliness he finds thereafter is disturbed by visions of a man who never could let Light bask in his victory. Morals are questioned, and the air is cleared — for better or for worse.

Summary
When Mike falls victim to Vecna in battle, both One and Eleven fight for control of his mind in one big game of fatal tug-o-war. In doing so, they send Mike into what first appears to be a state of comatose, but turns out to be an alternate universe. A universe where Mike is supposedly dead, and Will is not Will.
