Summary
Xie Lian wakes up to find his husband split into four versions of himself. This isn't in itself as concerning as the prospect of what he'll have to do to keep a Supreme Ghost King, a wrath ghost, a very human youth, and a child from tearing each other apart. At the very least in the moments between hauling Hua Cheng's disparate pieces away from one another Xie Lian gets the chance to reaffirm that he loves his husband, in each and every form.

With a sigh, Wu Ming crossed his arms. “Useless trash,” he muttered, and then walked over to unceremoniously shove San Lang out of bed. The human flopped to the ground with a startled yelp. “You really didn’t explain a single thing, did you!”San Lang’s head popped up from the opposite side of the bed, a small frown on his face as he tied his loose hair into a crooked tail. “I told you I was going to ease him into it!” he snapped up at the ghost.
Wu Ming tipped his head back with a groan and stomped over to the mess of red robes left piled on a chair. He threw them at San Lang’s head. “I did not stand guard outside this morning to listen to you fornicate!”

Summary
Mu Qing is left with the unenviable task of sifting through thousands of soldiers to find one nameless kid that Xie Lian met in a cave. Xie Lian means to appoint him, Mu Qing throws him out of the army instead.

Mu Qing stared down at the desperate child clinging to his faded hopes and hid his pity, his understanding… his empathy, behind a perfected wall of disdain. It had to be done. This tie had to be severed before Xie Lian got hurt.Mu Qing leaned down and whispered into the boy’s ear. “I saw what grew out of that field, and I know it wasn’t put there to tempt His Highness. What makes you think that Xie Lian would ever want help or protection from the likes of you?”
Mu Qing shoved the boy off of him, and with a signaling glance at the officers behind him, the boy was caught by the arm before he could grab at him again. Not that he was likely to. Mu Qing’s words landed with the precision of one of Feng Xin’s arrows. A near visible wave of self-loathing washed over the boy's bony frame. Tears welled in his dark eye.
“Go home, kid. There’s nothing for you here.”

Summary
An unfortunate run in with a member of the church leaves master and servant separated. With Renfield caught in the clutches of a vampire hunter, Dracula is left no choice but to either cut his losses and move on alone, or track his wayward familiar and those who took him down.

"Master-" silence. Renfield’s voice was gone, Dracula blind and deafened from his familiar. Rage boiled in Dracula’s black blood but he did not panic. He was not without a hold yet. He could still feel Renfield struggling, moreso the clinging of the man’s own soul to Dracula than the chains that now hung limp and empty between them. He was still fighting. They could still prevail.Then pain. Burning, searing, purifying pain! Dracula could not hear, but his mind conjured Renfield’s piercing scream as something like fire was pushed into the skin of his familiar’s chest. Small, symmetrical, and wholly insurmountable.
The sign of the cross. Dracula’s presence fled from Renfield without thought or will. Abandoning the last, vestige grips of his hold on the man as the holy symbol was branded into flesh. Renfield was lost.
Dracula was alone.

Summary
Garth straightens from his position bent over the bow and stares at her, a grave weight in his blue eye as it lingers on her cheek. His fingers twitch as if curious to touch and Sparrow is grateful for his restraint. “I do not know the whole of what you suffered,” he says, “but I know parts. The other guards- they spoke to each other often, and without care of who heard.”
His chin dips as he speaks, as if in apology for what he could not help but know. Some part of Sparrow wants to spit at his pity, but another knows that were she in his position, she would have clamored for any word of her sole hope of salvation. She also knows that whatever he heard, it does not change the things she herself has done.
She says, “By any just law the sum of my life would be determined by what I did in that tower, Garth. Regardless of what was done to me in turn.”
Garth frowns. “The Commandant-”
“Is dead,” says Sparrow. Wisps of a low-level inferno slide off her shoulders, dispersing harmlessly into the wind. “I saw to that myself.”

Sailing back to Oakfield, Sparrow considers the aftermath of her time in the Spire, and what it means for the path to the future that has been laid out before her.

“We’re doing this?” Sapnap asks, though he doesn’t wait for an answer as Pyrrha springs forward from his side directly at Hestia, and the white akita is all at once besieged. A mountain lion, a fox, an albatross, even a shaggy-coated wolfhound, all manner of daemons converge on the large dog as she dives into the flood of water and joins Technoblade in the sudden skirmish.
Tommy is distantly aware of the chaos that erupts somewhere beyond the small world of himself and Tubbo. Even so, he cannot bring himself to think realistically on how long Technoblade can hold the mob of his countrymen off as he swings the Axe of Peace towards Tubbo’s unprotected shoulder. Tubbo throws himself backward. For a moment Clementine locks her jaws in the flesh above the center of Emery’s back and the badger wails as the daemon is momentarily lifted off the ground and then dropped.

Summary
