Eddie’s dressed in simple black jeans (without a single hole), countless chains wrapped around his waist as a belt and a dark grey band shirt (of a band Steve’s never heard of). His hair is still damp like he took a shower not too long ago, but the strands curl perfectly around his face to frame it in just the right way to look breathtaking. The soft smile on his lips just adds to it all.
He really is devastatingly handsome.
And so hot.
They haven’t seen each other in a week, since the night of the concert, and now Eddie’s back here, because they played a second Chicago show and are taking a week long break before starting the next leg of tour. And he wanted to spend his first night of the break with Steve, which honestly – still shocks him.

When Robin answers Eddie puts a hand behind his ear, leaning forward. “Huh?” he says, even though Steve’s pretty sure he heard the right thing. “You met on Hinge?” he then repeats Robin’s words for everyone, makes a confused face and looks into the crowd. Everybody laughs at that. He’s got every single person in this room wrapped around his ring clad finger. He’s such a performer, Steve wants to lick his collar bones. In his mind those two things are related right now for some reason.
“Okay, what’re you doing on Hinge matching men, if you’re gay?” he asks the million dollar question.

Nancy, to his surprise, doesn’t roll her eyes in that playful way that she does, or shoves him for being a creep, or react in any way he would have expected. No, she just looks back at him, confused out of her mind, and slowly shakes her head. “I didn’t…,” she starts, “I didn’t even know. I didn’t know he…could play.”
or: Steve knows how to play the piano. And does so in the middle of the night. Eddie and Nancy have a lot of feelings about it.

“What in the world are you doing here?” he then asks, when he got his voice back and Steve, now kneeling on the ground sorting through the dirty laundry he brought, just shoots him a look.
“Uhh…laundry?” He looks a little lost, as if he doesn’t really understand the question.
“Um, yes, I can see that,” Eddie replies, shutting his book, “but why is Steve Harrington doing laundry…here? At a laundromat?”
Steve frowns and turns completely around, giving Eddie his full attention now. “Well, Eddie Munson” he says, putting emphasis on it, as if to prove Eddie’s not the only one who knows full names around here. “There’s a very simple answer to that. I don’t have a washing machine…but I like to wear clean clothes. You know?”

Robin blinked. “A guy,” she repeated, an exasperated expression on her face, her hands making some sort of gesture, underlining the word.
“I know,” Steve said, in the same manner, starting to get frustrated now, too. “Was pretty hard to miss with his dick against my thigh.” He narrowed his eyes. “No pun intended.”

Steve wonders if perhaps he really had slipped and fallen in the parking lot the previous morning, wondering how the hell he'd ended up agreeing to spending Christmas Day at the Munson trailer instead of lounging in the silence of the Harrington house with a bottle of scotch.
He looks up at the sky as he stands at the foot of the trailer's steps, blinking up at the snowflakes as they whirl around and dust his hair and cheeks. "This snow better knock it off," he murmurs, rolling his shoulders and setting a foot on the first step. He isn't entirely sure he's mentally prepared to spend the night there if the storm really comes as the weather forecast had promised.

Fingers on dice, on strings, on lighters—every twitch, every flick, every curl dug under Steve’s skin until it was all he could think about.
It was stupid. He knew it was stupid. Who the hell got jealous of a cigarette or a soda can? But Steve did. Every brush of knuckles, every scrape of rings, every casual touch lit him up like he was wired wrong. And when Eddie finally noticed—when Steve finally cracked—it stopped being about pretending. It became about finally, finally getting what he’d been chasing in his head for months.

And there he was. Just as in your face and over the top as ever.
Only he looked… different. He looked like fucking Bon Jovi. Jeans so ripped they may as well just be shorts and a crop top and hair pulled back into a bun with loose bits falling around his face. In some weird way, the jeans almost seemed more revealing than shorts. They weren’t, of course, Steve couldn’t see the backs of Eddie’s legs or his left knee or either calf, but there was so much open ripping around his thighs that almost seemed more… teasing.
“Holy shit, I can see your whole face.” Steve mumbled out, lips parted in genuine surprise, instantly reaching out to try to touch the bun at the crown of his head.
