Wyll nudges Shadowheart in the side, nodding his head towards the two women unmoving in the middle of camp.
"Looks like they're doing it again."
Shadowheart frowns, looking quizzically before swiveling her head and seeing the spectacle—a phenomenon—that Wyll has observed. "I asked Dee once what it was exactly they were doing. She said they were 'going AFK'. Have you heard of a method like that?"
"Maybe it's a form of meditation practice," Wyll suggests.
“Perhaps a…resting technique? To be in touch with the Weave, maybe? I’ve heard of wizards doing that.” Gale startles the two, he waves away the sound of someone saying ‘what are you doing here in this side of camp?’. "Though with Gaylia joining in, perhaps it's a form of prayer."
Shadowheart cocks an eyebrow in his direction, “Do you really believe Dikkoc has any god she worships?”
"She certainly worships Karlach like one."

Duke can feel himself becoming awkward, even as he’s more caught up with the creepiness that lies in the teen’s dead-eyed green stare.
Seriously. The guy looks dead. Sure, he’s standing and he’s breathing, but even his eye movements look slow, his skin is pale like he’s cold despite it being late spring, and his grip on his backpack straps looks more habitual than anything.
Thank god, Duke thinks, that someone got him to the manor before someone took advantage of him.
[Inspired by a tumblr post. A teenager who has no name (Danny) and seems unable or unwilling to communicate is brought to the manor. Attempts are made to break his shell, and if Danny could do it safely, he'd be panicking.]

Danny abruptly paused, head perking up and looking around like something was in the air. Tim and Kon glanced at each other before turning their gazes back at Danny just as the ghost boy turned back around the way they came and sped walked down the hall.
They trailed in pursuit behind their teammate and friend. Neither knew what had suddenly gotten into Phantom, but when the ghost took a sharp left and stopped, Tim figured they would find out soon.
Phantom didn't move, staring at something in the room. Tim followed his gaze, becoming slightly perturbed when he noticed that Phantom's pupils had dilated, similar to a cat's. Phantom was staring at Batman and Wonder Woman; the two engaged in some discussion across the room.
Or, more so, he was staring at the stick of kryptonite in Batman's hand.
