Before, it had been the brightest of blues that caught his eyes before being ripped away. Now he can only hope and cling to the warmth that he sees and pray, pray that this warmth isnt stolen from him like the waves of the sea had been.
Sokka had already fallen for the moon, so it wasnt a surprise that he fell for the sun as well.
If only he knew just how connected Zuko was to Agni and her rays that followed his every step, bending to his will and trailing from his hands both with care and the ferocity only a seasoned soldier would know.

After the Tagah event, Sokka returned to the Southern Tribe but became distant and frustrated, so his father sent him to visit his sister in Republic City. Where Aang and Katara finally catch up to why he's so upset, with help from Toph. Zuko had an eye for Sokka for longer than he should admit, but respected their friendship, that is, until Sokka appeared to feel the same. As he tries to pinpoint if his suspicions are correct, they end up on an unplanned rescue mission. With an even more unplanned ending.

Summary
Sokka was never told to leave and protect Yue. Instead he stayed on the mission with Hahn to invade the Fire nation ship even after he told them the uniforms were outdated. This leads to him being thrown off the Fire Nations boat for being an obvious imposter.
Zuko never made it to the pond, or aang. Instead Zhou is told of his plan and sends a soldier to follow him. When he stopped the soldier attacked him, knocking Zuko out and leaving him there. As the tide rises he is pulled into La.
Sokka is dumped by the tide at the very same place La has taken Zuko.
Forced to help each other in order to survive the harsh climate of the North pole and make it back to their family's. Families who think they are dead.
And maybe learn a little bit more about each other along the way.

Set in between the pilots and season one, this small collection will explore the time during Kai and Nya's move into the monastery.
A good question is if the move will go as smoothly as they hope. the Smith siblings find some aspects of the ninja dynamic rub them the wrong way, while others feel like home with how naturally it comes to them. The other three ninja also have to get used to a girl being in their space, and how roudy the siblings can be at times. Who knew that they'd even team up to roast and pummel the others into submission. Was this what having a sibling was like? For three teens who were the only child of their respective familys (well Zane being an orphan) this was all very new territory.

Falling for your teammates while living in a not-so-shabby apartment together isn’t ideal, especially after being kicked out, but it happens anyway. Maybe wanting more than one person doesn’t make you a bad one, but it definitely makes things messy.
Or; Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane go through unnecessary(?) emotional pain before realizing they can all just date.
