Summary
Once upon a time there was a tower, and a man who was foolish enough to trespass upon it.
After being dared by his friends to take a single rose from the garden of the dark tower outside of London, Hob Gadling discovers that he has inadvertently run afoul of the tower's keeper, a man who calls himself Dream, and who wields powerful magics. To prevent the deaths of his friends, Hob offers himself as a hostage: to be Dream's captive and confidant for all eternity, trapped together in the dark tower.
However, once there, Hob discovers deeper and deeper mysteries with each passing day. What is the significance of the roses? What is the beast that roams the gardens at night? Why will Dream offer him no answers, and why can none of his servants speak of the tower's past?
And why has Dream forbidden Hob from entering the topmost floor of the tower?

Unable to bear the thought of sending a man who so echoes Dream's own grief back into the night alone, Dream breaks his own rule and invites Hob to stay with him for a time, at least until he can get back on his feet.
The story of two grief-stricken, divorced, and widowed fathers to sons they lost too young truly seeing one another and there, at their lowest point, doing their best to put themselves and each other back together.

*August 8th update: here is the link for katiedid's story http://archiveofourown.org/users/katiedidarchive/pseuds/katiedidarchiveAlpha/Beta/Omega dynamics but based off of katiedid's version. In this story, her version is the basis. But I changed the plot and relationships. In my story/katiedid's :
*Omega's are rare, but at the top of the chain.
*Over 65% of the world are betas. 20% are Alphas and 15% are Omegas.
*Omegas tend to have multiple partners, and have entire litters to help with the world's population.
*Alpha's will want to care and comfort their Omegas during their heats, and will go to extraordinary means to do so.
*Betas aren't influenced by their natural instincts, and are level headed to make sure the Alphas and Omegas stay in line.
*Only compatible Alphas and Omegas will give off pleasant scents to each other.
*Heats and Ruts can be uncontrollable, but won't hurt the person.
