The Radio Demon's head snapped back to face him, neck cracking. "Why, it's a pleasure to see you as always, dear Husker!" He grinned, razor sharp teeth on full display. "It seems our dear Princess is pursuing a rather silly endeavor." He answered, hands gesturing to the television dramatically, eyes darting back to follow.
Husk barked out a laugh. "She wants to get demons sent to Heaven?" He questioned incredulously, paw coming up to cover his mouth as he giggled.
Alastor's smile only grew at Husk's apparent agreement and to the hilarity of the situation. "It's truly baffling, isn't it?" A rowdy laugh track could be heard from his radio.
(What if Husk never sold his soul to Alastor, and remained an Overlord to this day?)

In the end, it’s his damned curiosity that gets him.
When an assistant barges into Vox's office and interrupts his weekly break, curiosity is what stops him from smiting the kid. When he’s told there’s “something you need to see”, curiosity is what keeps him from dismissing it completely. When he finds himself reading an email from none other than Princess Charlotte Morningstar herself, regarding her stupid redemption hotel, curiosity is what makes him not only read it, but respond.
And when the day comes for the proprietors of the Hazbin Hotel to meet with a VoxTek representative face-to-face, curiosity is what leads to the fucking CEO arriving at their door to see the place for himself.

An exploration of Vox’s psyche, his complete and utter lack of self-care, and how he copes with being less than human. It gets better, eventually.

During his seven-year absence, in order to keep his sanity, Alastor went through all his life and afterlife multiple times. Just then did he realize how much he missed being close with Vox.
When his owner finally made him return to Hell, he was determined to make things right once again. After the blackout caused by their fight though, he realized it was impossible, given the TV demon’s deep hatred for him.

Summary
Vox is tired. Of Valentino. Of Velvette. Of Alastor, and Hell, and everything in between. He can't escape, but he can cut himself off, piece by piece, until he feels nothing at all. Alastor takes exception to this approach and commissions a certain princess of Hell to fix his foe. Now Vox has a hotel of misfits on one side of him, overlords on the other, and Alastor crushing his cage ever smaller.
Clearly, the only way Vox will get any peace and quiet is to just kill God.
Valentino did always tell him that he had no chill.
