Staring up at the all to familiar ceiling, Cale felt suffocated. So much happened at once and now, he’s back at the start. Back before it all went to shit, with only the words of the God of Death still ringing in his head.
“You won't be alone, the one you trust the most will also be back with you.”
While the thought of it hurts because that means he also had to have died for the God of Death to have sent him back as well, a bitter smile tugs at his lips.
It’s only fitting that a soldier dies with his King.
