It gets locked down and waits while it hears cheering.
And waits.
The second it gets brought back into action, weeks later, it's to train.
Standing in front of it, watching it, is a robot with 'V2' on its plating.

Summary
Now in college, Mirage is aiming to take her band above and beyond; from behind a screen to before the watching eyes of a real audience. With V1 and V2 at her side, she is missing only one necessary ingredient: an actual pipe organ, and someone who can play it. With a church on campus the first part is taken care of, but when V1 runs over organ player Gabriel in its car, recruiting him may prove more difficult than it seems. Especially when he seems to be hiding the true reason he has left his hometown...
As they struggle with the troubles brought forth by change, they find the four of them drawing closer, maybe even finding meaning in their art and existence.

It beeps and waves its hands back and forth. It points at its back. Mimes shooting a gun. An extremely loud incorrect buzzer plays as it makes an X with its arms in what, to Gabriel, seems like an unusually human display of panic. His grip on Justice loosens.
Huh?
"...You don't have your weapons?" It nods. "Why?"
It shrugs and grabs a fishing rod.

It had restarted, still cold, except inside a still recalibrating, entirely new body.
Or: V1 in Murder Drones, except instead of being the bloodthirsty shotgun-parrying warmachine we all know and love, it’s as an entirely normal Worker Drone.

You would think being thrown into a world where death is nothing but common it would majorly suck. well yes, it would indeed suck. but you know what would be even worse? being thrown into an even worser version of the world where it's almost impossible to survive.
Yeah, that's what happened to me. Never thought I would be thrown into the kaizo version of Rain World. I don't even have any powers. I'm just a simple Slugcat with pink fur... why did it have to be Pink... How have I not gone insane yet?

Summary
Mirage texts them a photo of the address. It’s smack in the middle of nowhere, tucked into the mountains next to the ocean. V1 whirrs out a sigh and texts back. “Fine. Fine. I’ll check it out soon. Give me until after class.”
Mirage replies with a horribly compressed image of her with a thumbs up emoji. “Tyyy. I think you’ll like it >:)”
“That’s so reassuring!” V1 texts back. They turn their phone over before she can reply. It’s about an hour drive. Hopefully they still have signal by the time they get there in case some mountain demon comes for them.

Summary
When a coincidental reunion (coincidental, as though V1 breaking V2’s window was anything but purposeful when an e-mail or a text or even a call would have sufficed, the details were right there!) has them now being roommates for the foreseeable future, V2 now has to live with someone they hadn’t seen in years. V1 hadn’t exactly been their best friend before, and they don’t know how that’s going to affect this whole… roommates thing.
It’s only for a year.
V2 can survive a year.

Newcomer Archangel Gabriel has been tasked with restoring an old church to its former glory in exchange for a scholarship to the local college.
While exploring the abandoned church in Limbo’s historical district, V1 finds that the church isn’t as abandoned as it thought.
A modern AU in which the world is restored, and the husks of humanity live alongside their own creations as Heaven watches from above.
