Summary
Merlin is in the thick of his PhD thesis. The topic? Appropriation of Old English and Latin in Occult Practices. This makes him a perfect candidate for translating an old occult journal on behalf of Cedric Sigan, the world's most prolific Occult YouTuber (or so Sigan likes to say). Golden opportunities like this don't fall in academics' laps often, and Merlin leaps at the chance for a huge pay out.
However, when he attempts to read a section of the journal aloud, he accidentally summons a demon. Said demon refers to himself as a Knight of Hell, but tells Merlin to call him Arthur.
Now Arthur is refusing to leave until Merlin makes a contract for his soul. Merlin refuses, but quickly realizes he may be stuck with Arthur forever.
At least Arthur is nice to look at.

After handing over the key to Hell to Dream of the Endless, Lucifer Morningstar fends off an attack by Azazel, an attempt to devour their grace and become the new Lord of Hell. Injured and having lost their memories in the process, and needing a place to lay low and recover, they're brought to the last place in the world that any self-respecting demon would look. Much to Johanna Constantine's dismay.

The black-haired man didn’t react as Hob approached the cage with a bowl of soup in his hands. He would not feed a man a small animal. He was not crazy. So, he had saved some extra food for the man. He looked like he could use it, being thin as a stick.
There was a heavy steel collar around the man’s neck, connected to the floor by a thick, iron chain. He did not react even as Hob placed the bowl on the floor, pushing it closer to him. He only looked at it when it was surely within his reach. Disgust appeared on his face.
Hob huffed out an incredulous laugh. “Would you really prefer to eat a raw rabbit over soup?”
The vampire looked up, and his eyes seemed completely black. It must have been the dim light around them, Hob reasoned. The man didn’t say anything and soon returned to staring into nothingness, as he had been doing every time Hob looked at him during the day.
“Alright, serve yourself,” Hob shrugged

Summary
In the low light, Kara watches them approach. Their dark gambeson, heavy coat of chain, and ornate breastplate all indicate militaristic authority, but the armor appears ill-fitted as it shifts around them. Their gait is awkward, like the weight of the steel is unfamiliar to them, but Kara cannot make out their face, the dark hood of their cloak pulled too far down and the torchlight too dim for any noticeable features to show. A gloved hand reaches forward to pull open her cell door.
With aching legs, Kara pushes herself to her feet.
“Do not stand on my account, Captain.” The figure says. Then, with an unexpected softness: “I have not come in vengeance like your visitor last night.”
“So you say,” Kara calls out. “And yet you come in the armor of a King’s knight.”
The General pauses. From the tone of her voice, Kara thinks she might be smiling. “So it appears.”
OR: Kara Zor-El, feared pirate of the endless seas, gives herself over to protect her crew from King Lex. There, in the dungeons beneath his castle, she meets the Knight, the General, the Princess, Lena Luthor.
