Summary
It was hard to tell time in the darkness of the castle prison, but Tommy thought it was sometime in the morning. He was awake, at least. He sprawled on his back on the wooden shelf that served as his bed and stared upwards. He’d initially thought that waiting for execution was going to be more exciting, but mostly it was dark. And cold. They’d tried a revolution, they’d lost. Now he was going to die. He held his hand over his face and concentrated hard, manifesting the mark of the Chosen. If he squinted in the faint candlelight from the corridor, he almost thought he could see it. “We gave it a fuckin’ shot, alright,” he told Prime in the dark. “And it was fuckin’ pogchamp, too.”
The only response was a scuttle of rats from somewhere in the cell. Tommy threw a fragment of straw at them without looking.
Or: Tommy lost a revolution and faces his fate. Technoblade has found someone new to twist the knife into.

And suddenly, Tubbo got it. He finally could understand the reason for committing crimes horrendous enough to have warranted tossing his entire bloodline into the Pit. He wasn’t much for family anymore, but he could feel his ancestors’ blood boiling in his veins. Wither and die, he thought, and though he did not have his great-grandmother’s powers, he thought he could probably work something out.
If the so called superheroes weren't going to save Tubbo's friend, Tubbo would rip the city apart looking for him himself. (With some help from Ranboo.)

His hair was decorated with a delicate gold crown, a far cry from the dinky little paper thing he’d used to wear, and his long limbs were decked in finery, gold bracelets, ruby and emerald and amethyst. He wore a waistcoat, frilled sleeves, a fucking violet cummerbund. And his magic—
His magic, as always, radiated from him like a halo, purple and incandescent as a star.
Tubbo let himself stumble, throwing Ranboo a glare of don’t you dare break my cover, and Dream levered him to his feet. “Allow me to introduce my heir, Prince Ranboo,” he said, smug as a cat who’d figured out how to work a doorknob, and Tubbo felt Dream’s magic constrict and lash out, coil around Ranboo’s shoulders and sink in.
Ranboo hunched in on himself, a full-body flinch, and stood with a pained, anxious smile.
