Summary
Ed meets Stede on a beach in Barbados a month before the Revenge is finished. Ed decides that kidnapping a wealthy (handsome) man might break the monotony of being Blackbeard. Stede is a little too on board with being kidnapped.
Basically, an alternate meeting slow-burn AU, with lots of humor, hijinks, and building sexual and romantic tension.

Summary
PART ONE- SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA (present day)
Salvage diver Ed Teach and maritime archaeologist Stede Bonnet, both descendants of the originals, join forces to hunt for the wrecked ships of their ancestors. They're both keeping secrets and telling lies as they dig through the mysteries of the past to understand how the story ended. In the process, they'll find the truth in each other, and figure out the ending of their own story, too.
PART TWO- HERE BE MONSTERS (1718-1719)
In 1718, Stede never showed, and then to add insult to injury, he went and died. A heartbroken Ed drowns his grief in rum and violence, stalked by monsters, ghosts, and the British Navy. Meanwhile, Jim plots their revenge. A chance meeting with an old rival changes everything, and tips them into the hunt for a mysterious cache of treasure, where they'll find new answers about the past and the future alike.

Summary
Every year, a person is chosen—supposedly at random—to be sacrificed to the Kraken, to quell the sea's worst storms and to stop the taking of ships. After his engagement falls apart, Stede is not surprised when his father arranges for this year's sacrifice to be him. The surprise comes later: when the Kraken claims but does not devour him. Instead, it whisks him away to its secret sea cave, where Stede discovers that there is much more to the creature than he was led to believe—and that they have a deeper connection than he could have ever dreamed.

Summary
“The only reason the crew didn’t mutiny after a fortnight is because you’re the only one who can do the voices. Those stories were good enough for your crew, why aren’t they good enough for me? They saved your life last time, Stede Bonnet. Give me one fucking reason why I shouldn’t slit you from neck to navel.”

I want to wrap this story around me like one of Stede's banyans.

Summary
Stede Bonnet takes on a new identity, that of the fearsome Captain Edwards, and terrorises the high seas calling for a duel with Blackbeard. Because he is very angry with him and wants to show him what for. Not for any other reason. Obviously.
Blackbeard, meanwhile, is at rock bottom and still digging, but something about this Edwards fellow sparks his interest. This follows directly on from the end of S1 and is basically just me writing how I fantasise S2 happening. Yes, it's vaguely inspired by 'The Princess Bride' and it's gratuitous af.
CW for some sort of suicidal thoughts, depression and alcohol abuse. Also Izzy in general.Bookmarked by Tennyo

Summary
The downside to being stuck on a desert island is that Stede's not awfully good at adapting. The upside is that he and Ed can finally have some peace and quiet– that is, if Ed ever wakes up from the gunshot wound in his stomach.
Stranded in the middle of who-knows-where, Stede learns the art of reflection and how to embrace the man who looks back.

Summary
It figured that the moment Stede's libido decided to rear its head, he’d be sharing a room.
When Stede finds himself fantasizing about Ed and desperate for relief, he's pleased to discover that Ed is fast asleep, which means Stede can basically go to town as long as he keeps himself reasonably quiet.
Ed is not fast asleep. Ed is not even a little bit asleep at all. Ed is listening to Stede pant and whisper his name, and he's losing his entire fucking mind about it.

Summary
“Well!” Stede smiles and sets down his glass for now, so he can give Ed’s cheek an appreciative rub. “It’s nice to be nice, isn’t it?”
Ed rolls his eyes, but leans into the contact. “Yeah, but don't tell anyone I said so.” He covers Stede’s hand with his own, fingering the lace upon it. “I do have a reputation.”
“I won’t, I won’t! If you don’t tell anyone what a scoundrel I can be,” Stede chuckles.
“You, a scoundrel?” Ed smirks. “You'll have to remind me why, Stede. You haven’t done anything bastardly all day.“

Summary
“You’ve never been anything but–perfectly considerate, my love,” Stede manages weakly, staring straight up at the ceiling, flexing a hand in Ed’s hair. Ed can be impatient in bed, erratic, firm and greedy in his touches, but he’s always asked Stede from the first– Is this ok? Like this? Is it good? Am I hurting you?
“You’ve never hurt me, or…” His cheeks pinken slightly, “Well, beyond what I imagine is the normal amount of soreness the day after, of course, but…”
Ed grunts, and scrapes his teeth over the bone of Stede’s jaw in a way that makes him gasp and brings him right back to himself. Ed seems to freeze at the noise, fingers digging shakily into Stede’s hip. “But what if I wanted to?”
-------------------After a rough raid on another ship, Stede lets Ed express the Blackbeard side of himself a little more privately.
Shameless PWP with lots of feelings.
