“It's going to take minutes of carefully calculating the amount of rerouting power to what is absolutely necessary to get this up and going again.” He wets his cracking mouth, his fingers are so numb, and it hurts from the speeds he’s trying new inputs. Sometimes the screen in front of him blurs, and he has to re-read the last few lines of code. Annoyingly simple paced. “I don’t need glasses yet, and this little keyboard is killing me.” He grits out before glancing up to see if any of that had worked at all.
“It’s all starting to blur together… I need a new set of eyes!” He trembles, leaning against the wall for just a moment, only one minute to collect himself.
“Let me take a look.”
It’s distinct, and so familiar he doesn’t dare turn around just yet to look, but he does turn his head slightly just to make sure he heard that right. “Did I just…”
“Yes you did.”

It's failed every mission thus far. The only right things it had done where saving hank from the edge of that building and stopping him from killing himself. All for the mission. It couldn't continue without the Lieutenant. The deviant leader had to be stopped at all cost. The price of human bodies had gotten too high, and more where soon to follow. Then, it found Markus dead on the battlefield. The only mission it's had completed for it.
Everything is washed away, only leaving one objective: Return to cyberlife for deactivation.
