Ron gave her an unimpressed look as he gingerly held a large yellow book. He handled it as if it would bite him if he moved it the wrong way. Harry was reminded uncomfortably of his Herbology book, dreadful thing it was.
“Muggles don't care about any sort of privacy do they?” Ron frowned.
Percy Jackson, the son of Sally Jackson and an unknown man. That’s all they could dig up, but when it comes out that he’s the grandson of Voldemort and he’s gone missing? It’s a race against time as the golden trio work against the forces to not only bring a missing child home - but to also stop a new dark-lord from rising.

And they keep losing the mysterious boy who seems to be the one person in Gotham to know anything at all.

Unbeknownst to him, in this world, little prince Loki has been missing for a month. So when the Asgardian citizens find a disheveled Loki on the edge of town, they take him to the royals, who have missed their little one so badly!
Loki isn't to keen on the idea of permanently being the royal baby at first, especially since his Odin and Frigga weren't the best parents in his universe... but maybe things are different here.

Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.
Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.

Is it running from your problems if your problems consider you to be a dead imprint of consciousness that killed their son? Yes, but Danny tries not to think about how his nightmares of his parents trying to kill him came true when they found out he was Phantom.
After being on the run from his parents and the government for a couple of months, moving from town to town, Danny ends up in Gotham City and decides to risk staying in Batman's territory. He'd take the wrath of Batman over live vivisection via beloved parents or being studied and torn apart by the government. Besides, he's not a meta. Being dead is a medical condition.
