"Hush, Pom-Pom," Jax cooed, eyes never leaving Caine's, even as his hands tightened, a faint crick sound from his strained teeth drawing a strangled gasp from Caine's mouth. He yanked back again, mostly on instinct, pain radiating out from the grip on his jaw, knees bracing against the floor in his efforts to escape. Jax simply watched it happen, unblinking, pressing his jaw open a little wider.
"We have some unfinished business that doesn't concern you. Don't we, song man?"
Crack.

Summary
After the events of the movie, Hypno-Potamus suddenly and inexplicably finds himself growing friendlier with the turtles he once called his enemies. As they start to get closer, his life takes a turn that he never expected for himself, but that he finds he quite likes.
Or, in simpler terms; Hypno, and by extension Warren, get the redemption arc I think they deserve, and become the Hamato children’s weird gay uncles. Prepare for a shit ton of familial bonding, identity crises, near-death experiences, and queer joy!

A distinct pop rings behind him. “What’s taking you so— oh my! What happened to the lights? I know I put some in here!”
Kinger turns just in time to see Caine’s eyes frantically searching to confirm his own competence, that he really didn’t just forget something so important as being able to see in the tent. A diligent AI, as always. Not perfect, but god knows Kinger isn’t either, so why would he expect that from his creation?
Well, not just his— they had a whole team, after all, and Queenie would not take kindly to not getting credit for her wonderful additions.
Their creation. All of their life’s work.
Kinger’s eyes crinkle fondly, no mouth to betray how he is smiling on the inside. “Hello, Caine.” He says. “I think this is some of your best work yet.”
(Or as the rest of the gang engages in a fast food masquerade, Kinger finds just enough sanity to talk to Caine properly. If only everything he said didn’t terrify Caine, or this might’ve all gone differently.)

The puppy Blinks again, reappearing just behind Riz. He whips around to keep his eyes on it, worried that this will turn into another chase. The puppy doesn’t try to run, though, stepping closer to Riz instead until it’s practically standing on top of him. It lets out a tiny whimper.
“Woah, hey, it’s okay, little bud. I’ll just,” Riz kneels on the ground and pets the puppy’s head, “call your owner, how about that?” With his free hand, he pulls his crystal out of his pocket and redials the most recent call. “He’ll be here in no time at all. But you gotta stop running away, bud. I bet he’s really worried.”

Riz lets the silence grow for an uncomfortable moment.
