I saw a prompt on Instagram and it's the "Princess is in an arranged marriage and has every intention of killing her husband/king so she can rule but turns out the husband king doesn't want to rule at all and is happy for the queen to be secretly in charge so they can buzz off doing whatever"
When King Vander of Zaun dies, the treaty continuation between Zaun and Piltover requires the marriage of Princess Caitlyn to Commander, now King, Vi. In her anger at being shipped off, Caitlyn is convinced by her maid-in-waiting, Maddie, that Vi will abuse her and she must kill her and take over power of Zaun. Caitlyn decides to be preemptive and so when she moves to Zaun, she begins to plan to kill Vi.

“Caitlyn.”
“Oh,” Jinx says knowingly, glancing Vi’s way out of the corner of her eye. “That’s the, uh, the cop girl, right? Maddie’s ex?”
A chorus of mutters and nods is the response.
“I’m being warned about her,” Vi tells her sister and Jinx blows her bangs out of her face.
“Good,” she says, almost snappishly. “Yeah, don’t date cop girl. You should date someone cool.”
“I’m not going to date anyone, not for a while. I need to get back on my feet first,” says Vi, drumming her fingers against the condensation of the glass. Thinking of Cupcake in her contacts, and that teasing smile.
Everything in Vi’s life right now is starting over. She’s spending the holidays on her sister’s pull-out futon, trying to make sense of the avalanche of changes, salvage what’s left of her family and figure out what she’s going to do next. The last thing she expects to do is include the beautiful woman she runs into on her first day in town, or this Caitlyn that everyone’s warning her to stay away from.
