Summary
The world continuing to turn after a loss is a cruel constant. Approaching the year anniversary of Jackie’s death, V’s rebirth, and Johnny’s resurrection, everyone in Misty’s life seems to be moving on and encouraging her to do the same. Enter a red-eyed spider, who has a very intriguing web. Now if everyone else would get off her back, she might find her own slice of happiness. Meanwhile Night City continues to turn, but the body count seems higher than normal.

Summary
Set in the aftermath of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, V is a mercenary running out of time, options, and any reason to keep playing by someone else’s rules. The Relic is slowly killing her, and survival once again comes wrapped in conditions.
Drawn into the orbit of the Federal Intelligence Agency and President Rosalind Myers, V is sent into Dogtown to recover Songbird under the familiar pretense of possible salvation. Nothing is guaranteed. Nothing ever is.
When V realizes how easily she can be sacrificed and how expendable she has always been, she makes a calculated, irreversible decision. She betrays them.
Instead, she turns to Dogtown, a district ruled by Kurt Hansen, a warlord and former Militech colonel whose honesty is as brutal as it is rare. V does not believe Hansen is good. She believes he is effective. And for the first time, that feels safer than promises from people who already consider her dead.
What follows is the slow, dangerous unraveling of a truth that could destabilize not only Dogtown, but V herself. V confronts autonomy, freedom, and the cost of choosing love in a world that does not reward it, and where loss is inevitable rather than born of betrayal.

The woman leant the side of her face on her hand so that the curtain of hair parted, revealing a mean smirk behind it as she eyed him. “Why the free drinks?” she said as she echoed the question in a sing-song voice with some dark look in her eyes. “Maybe so you’ll hate-fuck me in a bathroom stall later.”
He nearly choked on his own spit when she said that. He had expected a lotta answers but that one sure hadn’t been one of them.
“Oh really? I seem the type, huh?” he shot back at her after he regained some composure. “That’s a damn grand assumption.”
“Well, you do look like a cheap date.”
