He could finally put a face to the imaginary wife. Of course, they only had less than a year together and while it was short, it had been the best time of his life.

“Bi-Billy,” it wasn’t a question. If anything, it was a demand, a demand to be heard, to listen. With sweaty hands, Billy pressed the phone harder against his ear. ‘Fuck,’ he wished Max and Lucas weren't with him. If they weren't then he'd be over to Stevie's in a heartbeat.
“Billy,” she wheezed again. “Billy I've been shot.” Something inside him froze, he could feel his grip tightening on the steering wheel and his neck prickling with a familiar sense of danger. His Stevie was hurt. “I need- I need help. Please.”
Ignoring the fact that he had two teens in the back of his squad car and was probably committing about twenty violations; Billy pressed down on the gas hard.
“I'm on my way. Just stay on the line sweetheart.” He ignored the alarmed shouts from the back as he did a vicious U-turn.

Quickening his pace, Izuku caught up with Kacchan and walked by his side.
Phase one complete. Alright, I can do this.
Izuku wiped sweaty palms onto his pants. He’d been planning this for months. Well, years really if you count the time he’d been pining over Kacchan and assuming that confessing to him would only ever be a pipe dream. But since their relationship repaired, then blossomed, it seemed like more of a reality. Izuku had gotten reassurance from his friends, several times, to the point of them becoming completely exasperated with the conversation, that he should take a chance. In the end, it was by Todoroki’s insistence that he finally developed a plan. If even Todoroki was telling him to shut up and give it a shot, Izuku guessed he had no choice.
