Long before the events of the Netherbrain, the orb, or becoming a Chosen, Gale was an apprentice at Blackstaff Academy and deeply in love with a fellow student named Saera Ilanora. They were together for four years, even lived together in his tower. His family adored her. But after Mystra’s resurrection, the Goddess asked him to become one of her Chosen.
Gale left Saera behind.
Many years later, Gale returns from an unintended adventure, no longer a Chosen, and is now working at the same school where he first fell in love. He then learns that Saera is a visiting professor. Will he get a second chance to make up for the past?

Summary
The Dekarios lineage, may not be eccentric as the Harpells or as well known as the Silverhands, they are no less important.
This series starts in Luskan 1379 DR, a couple years after the Host Tower's destruction with Gale's great-grandfather Gaius. We follow how the family moved to Waterdeep from Luskan, how they got their fortune, and who the Dekarios family are today.
The stories are mostly led by original Dekarios characters and several named Forgotten Realm's characters make prominent appearances. Of course, everything is still centered around our favorite wizard of Waterdeep and my muse, Gale.
I am adding new stories and one-shots all the time.

Summary
What if the person who helped make Astarion into an at least semi-functional person was just suddenly... gone? What would he do then?
This is a post-canon exploration of just that!
It starts off not that long after the victory over the brain, sadly Karlach flipped a soul coin and decided to burn up instead of going on a romantic Avernus trip with Astarion, so now he's trying to figure out how to be a person all on his own.
Shit.
What will Astarion (and I guess the other less important people) left behind do now?
Especially when events conspire to force Astarion to re-examine his feelings about his not-siblings under Cazador and to stop pulling away from his traveling companions. They are only being nice to him because that is what she would want... right?
AKA We see how Astarion becomes the spawn you can meet at the epilogue party, if you did not romance him. Also he gets forced to admit he has FRIENDS. (Eventually.)
You can see the tags, he's not really on his own. This is a good thing, despite how much he whines about it.
