Summary
Kiryu is made to take a vacation for the first time in his life. It doesn't stay a vacation for long.
This fanwork is a crossover directly inspired by the story of Deadly Premonition! I'm not sure how long it will be, but I'd like to simulate the feeling of both games. This will be primarily from Kiryu's perspective. The story beats I'm pulling and enhancing/referencing from both respective fandoms will be explained at some point in-text, but this story assumes familiarity with Ryuu ga Gotoku before Deadly Premonition, so the Deadly Premonition references are a bit heavy-handed. Kiryu will be referred to as 'Suzuki' by most people for a majority of the work; this is a reference to the fifth game in the series, where he took on Suzuki Taichi as a fake name.

Summary
When Majima receives a personal invitation to join Kiryu on a Hawaii vacation to celebrate his full recovery, he isn't worried. Majima fought a giant squid and lived to tell the tale, surely he can handle sharing a hotel room with the subject of his unrequited affection for the past thirty years. Things are going fine, until Kiryu starts offering to buy him drinks and people keep mistaking them for a couple. Majima was starting to think that giant squid hadn’t been so bad, after all.
Set after the events of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

A couple years later, Akiyama unexpectedly reunites with Ryuji again and that soft crush he felt for Ryuji back then resurfaces. Given this second chance, Akiyama is hopeful this might work out for once.

It's a slow night in Nagasugai, and Kiryu's uniform—Suzuki's uniform—itches. A bead of sweat rolls down the back of his starched collar; he reaches up to rub at his damp hairline, pushing up his cap to scratch the back of his head with two fingers. He fantasizes about tugging his mask down and feeling the cool night air against his chin, perhaps catching the scent of a nearby food stall on the breeze. But it's too risky, especially here in the pickup line. Kiryu clamps down on the impulse.
