Summary
In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked.
Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Führer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside.

Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the greater world of Heroes and Villains. It remains to be seen who’s more traumatized by the encounter.

Summary
Ling probably shouldn't feel so safe with the thing that took over his body, given how it keeps calling him its possession, talks about things it shouldn't know, and, oh, told everyone that he was dead while he was unconscious. He just... feels like he should, for some reason. If the two of them actually talked about it, maybe he'd be able to figure it out.
Greed would have preferred it if his third(?) chance at life had just picked up where his second left off, but this works, too. Sort of. He might be making things a lot worse for himself, actually, but let's not think about that.
Lan Fan's prince has been taken from her, swallowed up by one of the monsters they were trying to capture. Accompanied by a woman who claims to have lost her own friend to the monster, she swears revenge. It would be a nice sentiment if anyone actually needed to be avenged, but as it is, it's just causing more problems.

Summary
There was something strange about this world. Something in the air. Ed wasn't quite sure what it was, but he was going to get to the bottom of this.
When Edward Elric travels through the portal after defeating Father, Truth refuses to accept Ed's alchemy in exchange for Alphonse. He is faced with three choices, none appealing. Either return empty-handed, sacrifice his own life for Alphonse's, or do a favor for Truth. He picks option three, and finds himself waking up on a trash-covered beach in a strange world, one where every man, woman, and child have some strange power. In order to get home, he must accomplish whatever it is that Truth wants from him, and unfortunately, the being is not exactly inclined to provide thorough explanations.
