Gale has an unexplored exhibition kink, and they find the perfect opportunity to indulge it in a haunted library during a lightning storm. Meanwhile, I get to indulge my increasing inability to write something without a massive cum joke involved.Written for the Kinktober prompts Exhibitionism & Voyeurism, and the Spooktober prompts Ghost, Haunted House (except a Haunted Library), and Storms.
Canon Caveats: Plausible as post-canon canon-compliant fic, with some magical realism and exceptions to strict 5e magic rules.

Summary
During a raid on a smuggler ship, Ed finds a merman named Stede locked in the hold. Inspired by art by feriowind.
Inside is a tub that looks like it was cobbled together from wooden boards. And inside the tub is a merman.
He sits on the bottom of the tub, his back slumped against its wooden side. His tail is curled beneath the water’s surface, nearly tucked into a perfect circle in the cramped space. He looks pale and haggard, and there’s a shackle around his neck attached to a heavy chain in the wall.
He’s the most magnificent and most pathetic thing Ed’s ever seen.

Summary
In 1718, Ed waited all night on the dock, but Stede never showed. And then to add insult to injury, he went and died. Drowning his grief in rum and violence, Ed finds himself pursued by monsters, ghosts, and the British Navy.
Aboard Ed's own ship, Jim Jimenez is waiting for their chance for revenge against the people who've hurt their family, Ed included.
A chance meeting with an old rival at Ocracoke Island shifts the trajectory of all of their lives, and sends them hurtling back toward past hurts. Now they'll have to work together to come through the other side of the storm, and to build a new future from the wreckage of all they have been.

Summary
At night Israel dreams of Ed in fragments. His skin through the pinprick holes that line the seams of his weather-beaten t-shirts. The small of his back, the soft bend of his elbow. The raised lines of his tattoo where the needle sunk too deep and scarred. On a ship there’s nowhere to be alone but in sleep. Israel doesn’t even have that.
