Summary
Ace Visconti never considered himself a particularly good dad candidate. With his gambling addiction and substance abuse, several criminal charges and loan sharks after his head, any child put under his care would likely be met with a world of pain. Yet somehow, as the flirty shapeshifter finds himself in possession of a dragon egg after a night of poker, he can't bring himself to sell the priceless item for cash. Luckily for him, someone else is also rather keen on him not selling the egg.

Summary

Summary
Ace doesn't blame the kids for being morose. It's not their fault; they just lack Ace's greater experience and optimistic perspective! Sure, the Entity's realm seems like a real drag on its face. But there are no debts to pay, no need to eat, and none of them will age or permanently die. Call him crazy, but that sounds like a solid deal to Ace.
The enforced sobriety is admittedly a drawback, but Ace supposes he can't win 'em all—and that certainly won't stop him from seeking out alternatives to slake his hedonistic impulses. Getting laid would be a great start—provided he could get someone to bite.
