Summary
Ace Visconti never considered himself a particularly good dad candidate. With his gambling addiction and substance abuse, several criminal charges and loan sharks after his head, any child put under his care would likely be met with a world of pain. Yet somehow, as the flirty shapeshifter finds himself in possession of a dragon egg after a night of poker, he can't bring himself to sell the priceless item for cash. Luckily for him, someone else is also rather keen on him not selling the egg.

The blonde's expression was as unreadable as ever, as helped by the enigmatic sunglasses. In the moment, Ace craved the safety of his own ones, which were neatly folded on top of the pile of clothes discarded on top of the drawer.
”No, I don't think I will”, came the tyrant's response. He shifted slightly, the heat of his breath now hitting Ace's ear.

"When they finally announced the threat to be over in the radio, I could smell something burning."
Something I wrote to vent out the overwhelming feelings of dread and unreality of the pandemic of 2020. I can't really recommend this fic if you're already in a state of constant anxiety due to everything horrible that has happened this year, but if you choose to read this regardless, be warned. It's a bit heavy. I just felt the need to share since, despite the horrible subject matter, this is probably one of my best horror works so far.
