Summary
Verso knows his soul is not original to him. A stitched-up, fractured, and glued-together thing, stained with memories not his own and heavy with the grief of unimaginable loss. His very existence is a farce, a tragedy played out in canvas and ink. He wants nothing so much as to end it. To give the ragged remains of a soul back to the one who created him, let her find someone else to carry the burden and the memory of the man to whom it once belonged. And yet. And yet, still, buried deep inside him is the desire to make this second-hand soul his own. To take the old discarded thing and make it into something new. To live, as they all deserve to live. All he needs is someone to show him the way.

This year's Bake Off is off to an interesting start. With a new co-host with the personality of a wet sponge, two of the youngest contestants ever, and an unfairly attractive Star Baker, host Anthony Crowley might just be in over his head.

Summary
On the seventh day of the seventh month, Jaskier went to wake a god. Just as he had the day before that, and the day before that, and so very many days before that that he had rather begun to lose count. Of course, ‘wake’ was a rather relative term, as Jaskier’s god was an early riser, and always had been. ‘Always’ also being a somewhat relative term, as this particular god was young for a Returned, being barely five years past the day his mortal body died and The White Wolf had emerged.
Or
Geralt of Rivia died to protect the people he loved. And then, he Returned. Kept away from the outside world, he and the other Returned live as gods, using their divine strength and skill to do the one thing their worshippers require of them - hunt monsters. With no memory of his past life, Geralt is content despite the faces that haunt his dreams. Then he finds out just what Stregobor intends to use the Returned for.
What follows is a desperate run for freedom, a battle to save everything his past self had ever cared about, and a final choice - to give up his life to save the man he loves, or live on without him.

Summary
The Archangel Raphael Fell from Grace at the beginning of the War in Heaven. Rather than see him complete his Fall, his siblings murdered him and threw his body down into the pit of Hell. Only, he didn't die. He was saved by the love of one principality, Aziraphale. Enduring the pain of the broken bonds to his siblings, the former archangel spent the next six thousand years in hiding on Earth, protecting his beloved angel as the demon Crowley. It was only after the failed apocalypse that Aziraphale realized the connection between Crowley and the former Raphael. Together, they began a life free from the demands of Heaven or Hell.
Three weeks ago, the archangels decided to attack. In desperation to protect Aziraphale, Crowley revealed his past self to them. It did not go well.
Now, unhinged by the revelation, the archangel Gabriel attempts a one-angel war on the forces of Hell. Instead, he gets far more than he bargained for. Can the remaining archangels work together with their former brother and his love long enough to rescue him and save the world yet again, or will the shadows of their past destroy them all?

Summary
To save Crowley from a summoning circle, Aziraphale must discorporate him. To ensure he is returned to Earth after, he enters into a demonic contract - for the price of one discorporation, Crowley must return to him. Only he makes a mistake, and Crowley remains bound to the contract, forced to return to Aziraphale repeatedly over the centuries.
—
“Kiss me.” He doesn’t wait for the circle to try to force it out of him. He just says it. And hates himself for doing so. Hates the instant of refusal he sees in Aziraphale’s eyes. Hates Hell for deciding that this was how contracts would be sealed.
“What?” There’s a tremor in his voice, and Crowley hates himself a little more.
“You have to kiss me,” he repeats. “And, while you do, think of why it is you’re doing it. Your intentions for the contract. The exchange of intent and of - of bodily fluid will be enough. It will bind me to you until both of our intentions are met.”

Summary
"This feeling that all my thoughts and memories… that they’re not mine, that they’ve been put into my head by somebody else… does it ever go away?”
It comes out almost pleadingly, the desperation Gustave tried to suppress for months now bleeding into his voice.
Something softens in Verso’s expression.
Or: the Maelle ending. Coming to terms with being brought back and repainted. Gustave is looking for some answers, so he goes to the one person who can provide them. Verso is absolutely done with this life, but feels obligated to at least talk to him.
They find that being a copy of a dead man is less unbearable when you're not alone.

Summary
A primal was summoned with an immense amount of chroma and could temper anyone close by. It was like a magical parasite, worming its way into one’s mind until anyone would turn into its thrall, serving it unapologetically. He had read recovered letters of how friends had turned against friends, parents had killed their children, and throats had been cut by their own bodies.
The worst part was that they couldn’t even leave the primal alone.
Lumière was running out of supplies and they had to make the continent livable.
And that just so included slaying an immortal primal that could temper them if they dared to get too close.
God, Gustave needed a drink.

Summary
Back when Verso still believed himself to be just another face in Lumière’s crowd, he was becoming quite impatient with waiting for his soulmate to appear so they could bring colours into each other’s lives. Then, Verso learnt the truth and knew that, in a world where no one was supposed to go through life alone, he was a fake made to exist without anyone to complete his soul.
It’s more than half a century later when fate mocks him again.

Summary
He plays all the sharp, loud notes, he plays and plays until it bleeds, until it reverberates in his skull in a relentless cacophony. Until it echoes in the hall, up to the glass ceiling.
A sharp movement in the audience catches his eye, beyond the halo of the stage light.
At first he thinks it’s Maelle, that she’s spotted him doing something that she doesn’t like, doesn’t fit the perfect image of it in her head, but…
It’s not Maelle.
No, it’s Gustave.
Gustave knows something's wrong with Lumiére. With himself. With Maelle. And he knows he'll find answers with the mysterious pianist. And Verso sees.
