Summary
The previous year, Hunter and Vee had an unsettled sibling relationship with Luz. And While Camila was definitely Vee's mom, Hunter was smack in the middle of a custody battle between Camila Noceda and Darius Deamonne, a trial against the most odious members of Belos' Cabinet, and a budding relationship with Willow Park.
Luz had spoken about "Thanksgiving" or "Gluttony Day" as she preferred to call it -- but Hunter hadn't gotten to enjoy the actual "Gluttony" part. Or the "Togetherness" part. Or any of it, really.
But this year, the Noceda Siblings were excited to share this day together.
"You eat yourself silly and lie on your stomach, then you eat more." Luz had explained.
But this was also a holiday built on a fallacy -- much like the ones Belos had built for The Day of Unity. And while Luz is cautiously excited that this will be a year very different from the lonely one after her dad had passed, Vee and Hunter are trying to figure out what it means to them.
Especially when Camila suggests that they invite all their new family from the Demon Realm to celebrate with them. Including Willow's dads whose trust Hunter had been convinced he'd broken.

It all just seems so pointless. Meryl will be able to describe the texture of the ash in great detail. She’ll write up a careful eulogy for the many scattered families that lost someone as though that’s any comfort at all.

Summary
Finding something to die for is easy. Finding something to live for is something else entirely.
Tesla wakes up in the wreckage of The Fall, a fragmented creature, and claws their way back together. They have family--brothers--but when they go looking they end up coming across the Plant Worshipping Cult and Eye of Michael instead. Horrified to see the things Knives has put into motion in their memory, Tesla snatches two (three?) of the youngest and most promising subjects out of the program and heads off into the desert with them. A trail of destruction and righteous, vigilante justice follows in their collective wake.
5 years later, Vash the Stampede and Co. meet an undertaker named Nicholas D. Wolfwood in the middle of the sand wastes. And he may just know more about what's happening around Vash and why than he's letting on.
