Tommy needed to get the fuck out of here yesterday.
He slammed his foot down on the brake of his stolen car and shifted into drive, ignoring the chaos of the superpowered fight going on less than a block away. He was about to pull out of the alley he was hidden in when the passenger door was abruptly yanked open. Tommy jumped, head snapping towards the door.
He came face to face with a man wearing an opaque black veil.
Shit.
Or: Tommy is a teenager on the run from the number one superhero in the city, Dream. In his most humble opinion, he's doing great at staying under the radar while making his escape attempt.
That is until three of the most feared villains in the city decide he's now their getaway driver. Fuck his life

They catch a distant star exploding into dust on the ascent up, noticing as several other stars twinkle and expand as well, warning that a similar fate is soon to befall them. The sight of the night sky all bloated and sparkling is as beautiful as it is haunting.
But then they crest above the atmosphere and planet entirely, and a sense of pure cosmic dread fills them.
Their sun is swollen and a sickly red, all bubbling and angry. Gabbro vaguely remembers it being described as the red giant stage.
But being taught about it and viewing it on the cute little model in the museum is leagues different from actually seeing it with their own four eyes.
For Gabbro, the first few loops had been the worst.

Crowley waved his hand. “I’m not talking about something ordinary, like a miracle or a temptation.” He said. “I need you to be certain about this Angel, before I–” Crowley cut himself off. There was no need to get into specifics now. “Just…humor me. You want this? You really want me to show you this?”
“Yes.” Aziraphale said. He had a stubborn set to his jaw that Crowley had come to intimately recognize. “Yes, I think…Yes.”
Crowley experienced an odd sensation, like the planet was momentarily tilting sideways while he remained stationary. Or maybe he was the one tilting? It reminded him briefly of the feeling of watching a galaxy being born.
Crowley gives Aziraphale an important lesson on what it means to be human.
