Sort of sequel to "Sometimes is never quite enough", but from Grian's POV
He doesn’t want to be like this anymore. He doesn’t want to cry over every little thing, he doesn’t want to make his mother's life harder than it already is, and he doesn’t want his sister and father to not be here. Not for the first time, his crocodile tears became real ones, and he fruitlessly keeps trying to wipe them away, along with the memories he has of his dad and twin sister.

She just has to wait it out, she kept telling herself. One of these days, she’d get a letter back, and everything would go back to normal. Despite the fact that the apartment was now furnished, and Pearl got to paint the walls in her room whatever color she wanted, and Pearl being 3 quarters of the way through her school year. It didn’t matter. None of it mattered. It was all temporary. She stares at the moon each night, watching it slowly rise over the horizon, changing shape each night. All temporary.

Summary
Will has been having a hard time sharing a house with Mike and room with his brother. Maybe one of those on it's own would be manageable, but being around a touchy-feely Mike 24/7 and not having his own space to let out everything he has been repressing leads Will to a bit of a mortifying situation. Luckily, when Mike finds out he is understanding. Maybe a little too understanding, though because suddenly he's offering up his room in case Will ever needs some privacy.
Things escalate from there..
But it basically became a slowburn mwtfdyd fic with non canon post Vecna resolution.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Will grinned, taking Dustin’s hand and shaking it. “You and me, Henderson.”
A rewrite of S3:
The night Dustin gets back from Camp Knowhere, he brings the Party up to the highest point in Hawkins to set up Cerebro. He thought that his friends would be excited to have him back-- even if it wasn't the most entertaining to sit on a hill and talk into a radio with no response, he thought they would at least wait for him before going home. He thought it was going to be the best summer ever.
Instead, he finds himself and the one friend that didn't leave him, Will Byers, intercepting a weird Russian transmission.
And, well... if he couldn't have the best summer ever, at least he and Will would have an eventful one.
