Luckily, it wasn’t a surprise Akuma. Instead, he nearly jumped when he noticed the customer seemingly teleported across the coffee shop and waited for him to look back into their glowing, slitted eyes, their clawed hands politely splayed out on top of the counter. The countertop was all that separated him from a creature of the night, somehow summoned by Luka’s prying into the night’s mysteries. Wrapped in vantablack and donning a pair of starlit eyes, the night looked at him without blinking, twitching one of their pointed ears.
Well, that would explain why he couldn’t hear any footsteps.
“Good evening. Double espresso, please,” Chat Noir asked in a smooth, controlled monotone that perfectly matched the atmosphere of the shop.
