    Oww, Peter thought blandly as he shifted- no, scratch that, tried to shift- onto his back but quickly decided that wasn’t in his best interest. Voices, both his own and not, swam in his head like a wave beating against his forehead.

    “They’re coming here because of me, right? Because I’m Peter Parker? So cast a new spell, make everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Make everyone forget me.”

    “It wouldn’t be enough. Your very presence would destabilize this universe.”

    Peter finally managed to roll himself over onto his back, ignoring the sharp pain that shot through his spine at the movement enough to sit up and look around. He was in an alley which thankfully held no occupants save himself and the trash littering the ground.

    “But I can… I can send you away. To a place where there is no Peter Parker. No Spiderman.”

    Jason Todd works the night shift at Gotham's local graveyard. It's a simple job for his simple life. But he has three issues; the first are near constant nightmares from a life he never lived, with people he never knew and events that never happened. The second is a self proclaimed 'Dick' who only appears in the dead of night, and the last is the fact that a grave stone, has his exact name on it.

    Jason Todd believes his past as Robin is nothing more than nightmares that plague even his waking moments. He revels in a derealisation of a past he never lived, but has to confront it nevertheless.

    The kid looked him up and down, unbothered.

    “You’re trespassing.”

    Jason frowned at him and crossed his arms on instinct, getting defensive “It’s abandoned!” He knew he had no right to be here. But this kid sure didn’t either.

    “I live here,” the child replied simply.

    Jason stared at him. The mysterious child stared back.

    The Drake Manor has been empty for years. Everyone knows that. The couple who owned it vanished on one of their archaeological expeditions, leaving behind dust, shadows, and rumors of a ghost.
    Jason Todd doesn't believe in ghosts. But when Dick dares him to prove it, he finds something worse: a kid, alone, starving, barely surviving in the abandoned house next door. Tim doesn't need rescuing. He needs someone who'll come back.
    Jason can do that. Even if no one else believes he's worth trusting with anything.

    Jason Todd knows he doesn't get second chances. Those are saved for parents who love you, brothers who want you, and a universe that is not indifferent to your suffering.

    But then—something bizarre happens.

    After scrapping with a Mage, Jason wakes up feeling...weird.

    What does he do? Goes to the smartest person he knows: Tim Drake

    There's only one problem: Tim Drake is...seven?

    Things just got really complicated.

    Tim awoke within a room that was stale aired, pitch black, and completely soundless. He was ill, and even if he HAD been able to move, the shackle around his ankle meant he would not be leaving anytime soon. As far as Dick knew, he was dead, and that put him at Jason's mercy. To make matters worse, the man was dead-set on him being his personal plaything, a pet of sorts...

    At first, Tim wants nothing more than to get strong enough to make an escape. But after a while, once he's truly gotten to know the former Robin, he's not quite so sure he wants to leave anymore. Or if Jason could take it if he did- of course, that's when everything falls apart.

    Tim knows he's not the same person he was before the bunker- and he can't go back to being him either. He's never going to let anyone control him, keep him locked up, ever again... he refuses.

    But Gotham needs Batman- and Jason is the only one willing to shoulder that burden.

    Tim has always said that Batman needs a Robin- but it looks like it's Jason that needs a Tim...
