Ian did not shatter as expected, but Mickey did a bit. Mickey decided he was fucked for life was going to let Ian go .Until the first letter came. Not sad. Not begging . Just laid it out that Ian, not Mickey gets to decide who he waits for. If he cannot see him he will see his waiting on paper.
Ian knows it won’t be easy. He begins the campaign for Mickey to see him again . Know each other so when Mickey gets out, they give it an honest try.
They are both still kids when Mickey goes in. We watch them becoming men and navigating two very different lives, the constant is what never dies between them.
How do they build them and a family with Mickey scared of being loved this unconditionally and incarcerated.
We look at how both their lives play out with a separation they have no control of. It’s hard, scary and painful at times. But yet both their hearts are still seeking and loving the men who started together as boys.

No...They were definitely together. Just...without the sex. Buck was willing to wait...More than that...Buck had no problem never having sex again if it meant waking up next to Eddie for the rest of his life. Until Eddie announced he was ready to start dating again.

The little dots pop up immediately, which Chris wasn’t expecting.
I’m not sure. I do know that it technically wasn’t a box, it was a pithos, which is like a big jar they used for storage. Box is a mistranslation, but it became so widely used that we all just roll with it now.
It’s a very classic Buck response. The dots keep going.
On that note, “hope” isn’t an exact translation either. Another way that people translate it is “deceptive expectation.” Hope isn’t necessarily deceptive, and we tend to use it in a positive way, so it’s maybe not the BEST word to use, but I guess in English we don’t have a better one for “deceptive expectation” and “hope” sounds pithier.

Buck can't take everyone leaving him again, can't take being alone anymore. So this time, he leaves first.
Or he tries to. Eddie doesn't let him. When Buck pulls away, Eddie follows him. And Buck finally lets himself break.

Summary
In hindsight, maybe they could’ve gotten out before the whole thing came down. It’s not like they weren’t aware that the building was unstable, but the truth is that it was too sudden for anyone to do anything other than just watch as the floor gave out from under them. There wasn’t even enough of a warning for an evacuation order to be placed. Because there wasn’t really the need for one, the floor was cleared and they were making their way back out when it happened.
Buck was actually talking about how lucky they were that there was no one down there, about how an extraction from there would be tricky when it happened.
And as they go down Eddie is actually thinking about how the universe seems to have a sick sense of humor.or
Buck and Eddie get trapped in a collapsed building. Buck more than Eddie.

Summary
Eddie dies. Only someone, somewhere is willing to give him a second chance. All he has to do is figure out where he went wrong the first time around.
"What am I doing here again?" he asks the tall person in white standing next to him. He can't get a bead on them to pin them down gender or ethnicity-wise. They seem to shift everytime he looks straight at them.
The being says, "Taking stock," or at least Eddie assumes they say it because at this point there doesn't seem to be a mouth that can move to do that with. He curls his fists, mad at something he can't even name.
"Of what?"
"Of your life."

Eddie fumbled with the switch on the helmet light.
Buck sucked in a sharp breath when he realized, “No Eddie, don’t.”
It was too late. Buck couldn’t stop what was coming, and neither could Eddie.

There’s a burst of fire, and the crash of metal. There’s so much chaos everywhere he looks, but a solitary voice makes it through the cacophony of noise. Eddie’s name on Buck’s lips - a scream torn from him like something stolen, like something he’s trying to claw back.
The cameraman doesn’t know where to focus at first; there’s too much going on. But when it settles Eddie feels his heart splintering inside of his chest.
Buck, on his hands and knees. Buck digging, desperate and frantic, through 30ft of solid, wet earth. Buck’s fractured voice wrapping around Eddie’s name as he begs, and pleads, and screams for him. Buck, more terrified - more hysterical - than Eddie has ever seen him before.
(Or, Eddie learns that Buck dug through the mud for him.)

Eddie is moving, his feet pounding against the floor of Buck’s kitchen as he moves around the island, his movements loud. Something horrible twists inside of Buck, something tells him to protect himself, to move, to get away. Eddie’s hand reaches out for him, and Buck flinches backward so hard his hip knocks against the counter.
Silence falls over the loft, so thick Buck thinks he could reach out and grab it if he wanted to.
“Buck.” Eddie says his name and it sounds wrecked, crushed, and looking at him makes Buck want to throw up because the look on his boyfriend’s face is so devastated Buck can hardly breathe.
