He thumbs it off his face and manages a scowl. “What?”
Kageyama squints like he wants to say something. Processing, the way he does when he’s starting to finally grasp the pre-calc Kei has been lecturing for the last forty minutes.
“Was that… banter?” he asks. “Do you and Hinata banter?”

Summary
After the events of So The Drama, the aftereffects of the Diablos still linger, with Bueno Nachos around the world shut down for repairs. Kim and Ron are also navigating their first date, with Ron uncertain where to go, now that their main hangout spot is closed for the unknown future. However, this may be the least of Kim and Ron's worries, as Sheldon Director returns to take advantage of the closed Bueno Nachos to kidnap the CEO and prevent his sister from helping people around the world. Will the duo/couple be able to take down Sheldon Director? Will Ron be able to find a cute date spot for Kim? Will Rufus be able to avoid being a third wheel? Read on to find out!

Summary
Soulmates are chosen by the spirits and can hear each other’s thoughts. Sokka thinks it’s cheesy and dumb. Zuko thinks it’s poetic justice that he doesn’t have one because he doesn’t deserve it. Cruel irony is finding out that the prince of the Fire Nation (and the person currently hunting you) is your soulmate.
(Set during and after the events of ATLA, and during some of the events of the comics that follow. This was an excuse to write a slow-burn where Sokka and Zuko are soulmates)

“Have you considered the possibility that Neil has chosen you, but believes you have not chosen him?” Renee says. "Have you ever explicitly told him what you want?”
“Neil knows what I want,” Andrew snaps. This is not Andrew’s fault.
“How do you know?”
Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.

Chief Arnook never assigns Sokka to protect Princess Yue, so he goes to fight the Fire Nation with the other men. When the moon dies and the ocean spirit takes its revenge, Sokka is caught standing on the deck of a Fire Nation ship. Sokka should have drowned… and he would have drowned, if not for a certain Fire Nation raft fleeing the North Pole.
[An enemies-to-lovers season 2 rewrite, where Sokka is separated from the gaang during the Siege of the North, and travels the Earth Kingdom with Zuko instead].

Summary
L reflects on his first meeting with Light.
L often thinks of himself less like a person than a computational machine. Input and output. This aberrant death happened in Japan, and so the killer was most likely there. Raye Penber requested the file first, and so the killer was almost certainly his contact. And so on and so forth. There has to be a brain to run these calculations, but the owner of the brain is not important. It could have been anyone. He’s Wammy software running on the most efficient system they could find.

He felt his eyes nearly bugging out of his head, but as the pain faded so did his strength, and the noise, the touch, the images slowly faded too. He lay there on the ground, waiting patiently for the sensation of Light’s arms to leave him, and stewed in the quiet, comfortable blackness.
Moments ticked past, but L still felt the dregs of consciousness.
“Okay,” Light spoke, his voice ringing through the silence crisply as though he were an angel delivering his gospel. “You lost this time. How would you like to do it again?”
