“Hey, Reo,” Nagi says as they step out of the helicopter. “Isn’t this a bit… much?”
Reo offers Nagi a hand as he makes it down the final step. “What do you mean?”
“I mean,” Nagi says slowly, peering around at their surroundings. “I thought this was just, like a… a casual dinner, or something.”
“It is,” Reo says, a bit confused.
“Um,” Nagi says. “Reo, we just flew two hours in a helicopter to get here.”
Reo’s brows furrow. “Well, how else would we have gotten here?” He checks the time on his watch. “Ah, we should hurry. They’ll be bringing out the first dish soon.”

Reo. Barou knows that name. He squints at the purple-haired man at the door. Reo, Reo, Reo… Reo Mikage?
Barou’s eyes widen. Reo Mikage? Like, heir of the Mikage corporation, Reo Mikage?
Oh, he cannot let Nagi fumble this. He has no idea what the Mikage heir is doing at a cafe like this, but he’ll be damned if he lets Nagi turn such a high value client away. Nagi’s not off to a great start, either—what the hell does he think he’s doing, addressing the businessman by his first name with no honorifics?
Barou begins to sidle towards the door, hoping his urgency isn’t obvious. Reo is still gaping at Nagi, and Barou can just see the money disappearing down the drain with every second that passes.
“Hello,” Barou says when he’s close enough with as much courtesy as he can manage. “Welcome to—”
“Nagi,” Reo interrupts, his eyes still on Nagi, “what the fuck are you wearing?”

Alexis blinked as every word died in his throat. This was his idol? It could not be the same person who had written “Blue Rose”.
“Well?” Kaiser raised one perfectly sculpted eyebrow. “Are you going to just stand there, or are you going to do the job I planned on paying you very well for?”
Alexis Ness is sent to do a cleaning job. Turns out that client is international rockstar Michael Kaiser, the lead singer of Bastards of München, and Alexis' favorite musician of all time.

Loki doesn’t know why they even bother with grandfather clocks in this room. It contributes to the atmosphere, he supposes, but not so much his focus. There’s nothing quite as distracting as a persistent sound, tick, tick. Nothing else in the room is as distracting, certainly not the carved walls and altar-like desk, nor the winged lamp nor the handwoven carpet.

Kunigami had been half-convinced at that point Chigiri was some kind of twist in the game specifically meant to torment Kunigami specifically. He was a biochemist and Kunigami was a physicist and fuck if he wasn’t a sucker for a smart person. Chigiri kept whipping that red hair around, too, and his braid leaves the nape of his neck open. It’s distracting whenever Kunigami’s trying to have a conversation with Chigiri without jumping the guy.
