Summary
When his world crumbles around him, left with nothing but ashes and memories in his hands, John 'Soap' MacTavish is thrust to the head of his deceased father's criminal empire, far too early. The mourning alpha finds himself faced with more challenges than he'd anticipated, left with connections and messes he now needs to navigate with no guiding hand.
In what has to be a cruel joke, Soap is left with a gift from his father, stating that his first challenge as head of the MacTavish pack will be arriving within the day.
And that's when Soap, already gutted, is strung up by his heels to bleed.

Summary
The first one to spot the toy is Price. The first one to use it is Gaz.
It goes like this: the 141’s been officially moved into a unit barracks together, individual bedrooms circling a commons with a reasonably-sized bathroom and what could charitably be called a kitchen if you were looking at it sideways. Separate enough from the main barracks and officer’s quarters to be technically private, but definitely more aiming to separate them just that bit more from the usual riff-raff, give them that extra edge of deniability. Not that they mind, those of them that socialize manage to do it plenty besides, and the ones of them that don’t appreciate having a place to sit quietly without interruption.
So when Price first sees the thick tube sitting on the coffee table as he preps for the morning, plastic and shiny and with a little clear strip down the side to see the soft pink insides, he assumes one of his Sergeants was having a little fun the night previous and forgot to clean up after. It’s a pleasant thought to be sure, one he’ll consider for the rest of the day, so he leaves it be.

Simon's brows furrowed; that didn't answer any of his questions, if anything, it added to them instead, "and why would I need to be accustomed to your weight and warmth?" he asked, attempting to turn his head so he could look up at the dragon currently using him as a tripod.
"So that when I bed you, you will not be uncomfortable," John said with as much casualty as if he were commenting on the weather or how shit the privates forms were while running.
Simon felt his brain misfire; that's the only way to explain how it suddenly went completely blank and why there was a sudden loud ringing in his ears. He opened his mouth, but it took him several minutes to find the words, but even the response he wanted to say got axed for a much more eloquent, "What… the fuck?"

Summary
Soap is a PhD student, doing his research in Antarctica on the behaviors and hunting habits of leopard seals. During his expedition, he becomes obsessed with a leucistic seal, who he's taken to calling Ghost.
His attempts at tagging Ghost for tracking purposes have all failed, leaving Soap frustrated, but determined to try again. He won't stop until he gets the data he needs for his dissertation.
At the same time, Soap is stuck in an escalating, heated flirting match with a hydroponics employee at another base. It's foolish to form romantic relationships with someone he knows will vanish from his life once their expeditions are over, but there's something fascinating about this man that he can't ignore.
