Rumi ignored her chest squeezing.
“-A stunning girlfriend, Mira. I mentioned her, right? My girlfriend Mira-” The woman stopped abruptly and lowered her head down into her arms. “Jeez, Zoey, stop rambling at the deaf woman.” It was muffled, but Rumi heard it.
Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.

Rumi considered it—she normally gave in quickly—but the way she’d looked at her before she kissed her neck, and the way she’d reacted to Rumi threatening to leave and finish herself off, was echoing around her brain. She was forming a theory, and she needed to test it.
She hooked a finger under Mira’s choker, pressing her knuckle gently against her throat, and tugged. She felt more than heard the way it made Mira’s breath hitch. She did it again, and this time Mira’s nails dug in deeper involuntarily.
Which was a very interesting reaction.
While Zoey's away Mira learns something new about Rumi.

“Zo! What are you?!” Zoey cuts Rumi off before she can finish that sentence as the younger girl leans forward, a glint of something catching her eyes.
“Rumi…? Do you have… fangs?”
The sudden squeal Zoey lets out doesn’t give Rumi anytime to answer before she has a mouthful of Zoey’s fingers in her mouth.
Zoey hadn’t noticed these before, but Rumi’s canines were sharpened into a point and stood out between the other teeth.
“Wow… They’re so… sharp.” She swallows as she gets even a better look, pushing her face mere inches away from the half demon.
OR
The Cruise au where Mira and Zoey constantly tease Rumi, and want her to relax since she’s a workaholic.

Right now, she was being the complete opposite! “…out.” Rumi can’t help but allow an amused smile break out across her features, a small snicker escaping her lips as well.

Zoey's hands shook as she ran them through her hair.
“P- protecting ourselves?" She huffed out a laugh, "Baby, have you seen her? Look at what we did! She's alone and it's because of us!"
A heavy silence fell. Zoey's voice dropped, raw and trembling.
"I- I can't... I haven’t felt her in so long, Mir. Neither have you. And it’s been like that for weeks. Weeks. Or have you just gotten used to her not being there anymore?"
Mira froze.
“Zoey… Jagiya, I-” Her voice cracked, small and desperate.
She was interrupted, tears spilling freely from Zoey’s eyes, words scrambling together in hiccups.
“I don’t know how to fix it because you two always end up fighting each other and leaving me alone… and that emptiness just keeps getting more obvious.”

“We don’t mind,” Zoey stepped in, ever so sweet and helpful, “It would be rather hypocritical of us, really.”
“What? No.” Rumi said quickly, head thrown for a loop. She shook her head, trying to come to terms with the implications of their words, and scrambling to take control of the conversation again. “I mean, yes.” She let out a panicked little laugh. “Okay. I guess that’s sorted, but that’s not it.”
“Well then what has you so worked up? Unless you’re dying, or secretly a demon-” Mira started up again, but she stopped short at the sight of Rumi’s full body cringe.
“I wish you didn’t say that.” Rumi said in a small, vulnerable voice to fill the sudden, sharp silence.Or:

Summary
The aftermath is quiet. When their feet touch back down to the Namsan Tower stage and the bright sunlight cast as they formed new honmoon fades away, night reclaiming Seoul, Rumi doesn't hear the thousands upon thousands of fans surrounding them. She doesn't hear much of anything. She doesn't feel much of anything. It's like her world has narrowed to her hands, and Zoey and Mira's hands clasped in them. But even that feels barely there. She's barely there.
They won. Now they have all the time in the world to pick up the pieces. And for Rumi to learn how to live a life that isn't just waiting to die.
UPDATE: it'll take a bit but we are in fact headed towards Polytrix before this fic ends cuz I NEED IT.
